Coming up! Mercury turns Retrograde in Cancer on 6/26/13 at 9:08am EST!!

Keep in mind while you read this Blog that I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane.  The effects of a transit are often felt as long as a day or two (or even longer).  The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after.  It’s important to remember that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.  I will no longer be including every transit that occurs, but rather highlighting the most dominant transits (to make the Blog a little easier to read, in response to reader feedback!).

(Sunday 6/16/13)-  Happy Father's Day! Today is mostly a "quiet" astrological day. In the very early morning hours, the Moon in Virgo will favorably sextile Mercury. Too bad this will occur when most of us are sleeping because this can positively influence communication & travel.
In the afternoon/early evening the Moon will square both the Sun and Jupiter. Let's not push our luck around this time. There could be some bravado or grandiose energy. Maybe dad will over estimate his grilling capability or grandpa could brag about waking 25 miles to school each way? It's best to just smile and nod. Some may channel their inner weekend warrior.
Starting at 5:26pm-9:19pm EST the Virgo Moon will be void-of-course before it switches into lovely Libra. Activities that are favorable during a Libra Moon are: fairness, beauty (did I say beauty?), partnerships, joint enterprise, aesthetics, harmony, graciousness, cooperation, justice, peace, and romance. Things to avoid are: indecision, dependence, fickle, and lying (to avoid confrontation). Its physical associations are: the kidneys, lumbar area of the back, buttocks and adrenal glands. All of these themes will be accentuated during the next 2 ½ days....

(Monday 6/17/13)-  Like I eluded to in last Friday's post.......the most predominant astrological transit today will be when Mars in Gemini will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Aries (exact at 11:20am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will help us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, innovation, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This one will increase energy, so parents out there try to be patient with the kids! Pay attention to dreams (that includes daydreams), since some startling revelations may occur!
The Libra Moon will hopefully smooth out any of the sharp edges. Mars can sometimes have us acting without much forethought!

(Tuesday-Wednesday 6/18-6/19)-  Overnight, the Moon will transition into intense Scorpio (exact at 2:38am EST). Favorable Scorpio Moon activities are: anything related to research, occult, detective work, self discovery, digging below the surface (both figural & literal), passion, mysteries, secrets, etc. Things that are not favored or exacerbated during the Moon in Scorpio are: jealousy, anger, intensity, and surgery (it can delay healing time). These will be themes over the next 2 ½ days.
The most predominant astrological energy will be when the Sun will form its annual conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini (exact at 12:11pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. I have been looking forward to this one! Sunny optimism and confidence surround this transit! This would be a beneficial transit if you were a salesperson (advertising, marketing, publishing, law, etc) because you could easily convince others to buy into your endeavors. This could be one of the best transits, so make the most of it! Work on attracting and manifesting abundance!

(Thursday 6/20/13)-  The Moon still in Scorpio goes void-of-course starting at 3:16pm EST until 4:31am tomorrow morning. Therefore, it is best to get a jump to the day and accomplish the bulk of what you want to do early.
Yesterday we had that beautiful conjunction between the Sun & Jupiter (which is still active) and now we have another one! Mercury will form a tight conjunction with Venus both in Cancer (exact at 11:57pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. We may have love on the mind and want to talk about it! Hobbies, artistic, and social endeavors are favored. It may be possible to have a money-making idea (or opportunity); take the time to write it down before you forget! If you’re single, you will be drawn to an intelligent & witty person. If you are in a relationship, have fun laughing with your partner (maybe watch a comedy or go to a show)! You know what they say; your brain is the biggest sex organ!

(Friday-Saturday 6/14-6/15)-  Happy Birthday Cancers!
We start the day with the Sun transitioning into the sensitive sign of Cancer (exact at 1:04am EST). This is also the Summer Solstice and it is the longest day of the year! It will be hard for you to work around this time.....it's nature's way of saying, "get outside"! Attached is a Web Site that has GREAT information on the Solstice's significance. Please read: http://www.crystalinks.com/summersolstice.html.  Words and phrases to describe Cancer (the Crab) are: “I Feel!”, Cardinal/Water, sensitive, emotional, holds grudges, moody, intuitive, “chicken soup”, caring, tenacious, family, defensive, nurturing, conservative, frugal, empathic, maternal/mothering, cooking & complex. It is associated with the stomach, breasts, elbow joints, and pancreas. Its metal association is Silver. Stones: Pearl, Opal, Emerald, Moonstone, and Ruby.

Since Cancerian energy is going to be prominent over the next month (and it’s the Solstice), it is a good time to take a walk down memory lane (Cancers love to reminisce about the old days). Unfortunately, this also means that they can really hold onto a grudge, so try to let go of unhealthy patterns (keep it positive). Reorganize family photos and certainly take time to honor/remember your ancestors.  Did you know that according to the most recent data from the United States Census Bureau; the most common zodiac sign in the American population is sign of Cancer?  Most Cancers are very sensitive and emotional, even when they try to hide it behind their crab shell-like exterior. I am always talking to my Cancerian-clients about the need for protection and also the need to trust; often a tricky balance. Over the next month, we may be a little more moody and a little bit more sensitive than usual.  Just remember we are being pulled along with the cycles of the Moon. Pay close attention to Moon are cycles and you'll be able to understand the astrological energies a little bit better. Cancer also rules the stomach area. It would be a good time to eat fish, violet colored foods like grapes, and greens. Try to avoid yeast (like breads and sorry, beer). Cancers usually love to cook (and eat) so go ahead and have that BBQ! Herbs/flowers/scents that are favored are jasmine, magnolia, chamomile, lemon, rose, and carnation. Lastly, take time to honor nature and its cycles by getting outside or bring in some fresh cut flowers to honor the Solstice!

Some famous Cancer’s are: Meryl Streep, Prince William, Robin Williams, Calvin Coolidge, Giorgio Armani, Tom Cruise, Phyllis Diller, Harrison Ford, Forest Whitaker, Princess Diana, Ringo Star, Tom Hanks, Bill Cosby, Nelson Mandela, Donald Sutherland, the Dalai Lama, Liv Tyler, Willem Dafoe, Tobey McGuire, Deborah Harry, George Michael, Kathy Bates, Dan Ackroyd, Pamela Anderson, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Jeff Beck, Geraldo Rivera, George W. Bush, John Cusak, Carly Simon, Cyndi Lauper, 50 Cent, Hellen Keller, Mel Brooks, Mike Tyson, Estee Lauder, Courtney Love, Carlos Santana, Natalie Wood, and Ernest Hemingway.

Mark your calendars! The Super Full Moon will be on Sunday (6/23) and Mercury turns Retrograde in Cancer on Wed (6/26)….

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall.  As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading.  I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, child star, etc).  I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype.  Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart.  Please feel free to contact me for more information!  Have a great week!  Bye for now……
