Astro-Update! Full Moon in Leo! Week of 2/13/11

SALE!! In honor of Valentine’s Day, I will be running a special on couple’s/relationship readings for the entire month of February! This is where I match two people's charts to give you an overview of the relationship and discuss the strengths & weaknesses. Although this is a very valuable tool with a love relationship, this can also be helpful in business partnerships, friendships, or familial relationships. This Reading also includes a 20+ page synastry report. $70 per hour (the “usual” rate is $80 per hour-you save $10). I will also extend offer this for Gift Certificate purchases too.

Saturn turns Retrograde in Libra 1/26/11-6/12/11

I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 2/13/11)- There will be 5 Lunar transits today; 4 out of the 5 transits will be positive. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Overnight, the Moon in Gemini will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 1:10am EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist! Then, the Moon in Gemini forms a flowing trine with Mars in Aquarius (exact at 11:32am EST). Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy. People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right.

In the afternoon, the Sun in Aquarius will form a beautiful trine to the Moon in Gemini (exact at 3:28pm EST). This is beneficial for all kinds of relationships (especially with children) and assists in making us feel loved and supported. This is also an ideal time to be close to pets or nature. Very pleasant indeed! Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a flowing trine to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 9:42pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. (I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time). Lastly, the Moon in Gemini uncomfortably squares Uranus in Pisces (exact at 10:19pm EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. It is possible to experience issues with technology or mechanical issues. This will begin a 2+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into domestic Cancer. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

(Monday 2/14/11)- Happy Valentine’s Day!! All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt! ~Lucy Van Pelt (Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz.)

After midnight, the Moon transitions into domestic Cancer (exact at 12:48am EST). Good Cancer Moon activities are: anything to do with home and family, cooking, maternal/mothering, being emotional, crafts, sensitivity, empathy, finances, savings, and care-taking. Things to avoid are: holding grudges, feeling slighted (possibly with little or no cause), over sensitivity, emotional eating, stubbornness, and being grumpy. Next, the Moon in Cancer will form a flowing trine with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron in Pisces (exact at 1:29am EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! Then, Mercury in Aquarius will form a flowing trine with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:48am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Sextiles usually present opportunity, but will take some work on your part to have it come to fruition. A slow and steady approach is called for. Focus on one thing at a time, otherwise there is a good chance mistakes will be made or it will need to be done over anyway. In fact, this is a good time for mental discipline. Stick with the facts if you need to communicate. A great time for building foundations, goal setting, and long-term planning!! Next, the Moon in Cancer will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Aries (exact at 8:52am EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Cancer will form its monthly opposition to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 12:46pm EST). This can signify a period of intensity. Someone could challenge you in an area where you are sensitive. Another possibility is that you may spend too much time analyzing instead of acting. Avoid underhanded tactics because someone will be more apt to notice. Lastly, the Moon in Cancer forms its monthly opposition to Venus in Capricorn (exact at 10:42pm EST). It’s not good to shop or decorate during this transit. Someone could offend your sense of good taste! Our feelings could be at odds with love relationships right now.

(Tuesday 2/15/11)- I will not be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today. In the morning, the Moon in Cancer will form an uncomfortable square with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 6:11am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It is better to work on organization around this time. Then, the Moon in Cancer will form an annoying quincunx to Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 9:52am EST) possibly causing blocks in communication. It may be nearly impossible to express ourselves. You ever had a time that you couldn’t put your thoughts into words?

In the evening, the Moon in Cancer makes an annoying quincunx to Mars in Aquarius (exact at 6:58pm EST). Did you ever meet someone that says something that is completely different than how they actually act? For instance: you went out on a date, the person says that they had a fantastic time, and then they never called you? This type of disconnect (coming from yourself or coming from others) may be more pronounced around this time. Then, Mercury in Aquarius forms a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Jupiter in Aries (exact at 9:49pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Too much information (TMI)! This is a time where we could find others (or even ourselves) saying too much. If you ever had interests in other cultures, religions, law, marketing, publishing, and/or travel; it would be a great time to explore these subjects. Use caution with overconfidence and avoid embellishment of the facts. The upside is that we could be feeling fairly optimistic and will have a bright mental outlook. Lastly, the Moon in Cancer will form an annoying quincunx with the Sun in Aquarius (exact at 11:30pm EST). It may be hard to feel supported around this time. Accomplishments may go unrecognized. It is possible to clash with someone younger than yourself (like a parent child relationship).

(Wednesday 2/16/11)- Overnight, the Moon in Cancer forms an annoying quincunx with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 1:29am EST). Neptune’s influence can cause us to be fuzzy and idealistic. It is therefore, not an ideal time to make bold moves and big decisions. It is possible that we may have trouble accessing our intuition around this time. If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. Then, the Moon in Cancer will form a flowing trine with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 2:06am EST) helping us to step up to the plate and do the right thing, even though it may be somewhat unconventional. We could get sudden revelations or ideas, so write them down! Technology (like computers), inventing, New Age ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This could cause disturbed dreams and/or sleep (possibly inspirational or vivid dreams). This will begin a short void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into proud Leo (exact 4:14am EST). Good activities to do when the Moon is in Leo are: anything to do with performing or theater, seeing a show, dressing up & looking nice, managing, feeling proud, entrepreneurial endeavors, gambling, playing games, routing for the underdog and taking care of children. Things to avoid are being too bossy, acting egotistical, and going over the top. All of these themes will be highlighted over the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon in Leo forms an annoying quincunx with Chiron in Pisces (exact at 5:06am EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. It may be hard to forgive & forget around this time. Remember that forgiveness gives you peace within yourself and is not necessarily for the other person.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Leo makes a flowing trine with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 12:29pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with groups of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. Lastly, the Moon in Leo will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 3:28pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children).

(Thursday 2/17/11)- Overnight, Mercury in Aquarius will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 1:01am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. It may be harder to access deeper thoughts around this time. This is actually a better time for superficial activities. Keep things light! Not a good time to do research or to “dig below the surface”. Verbal sparring or debates could end in disastrous results because others won’t want to back down. Just go with the flow right now. Next, the Moon in Leo will form an annoying quincunx with Venus in Capricorn (exact at 4:54am EST) possibly causing a monkey wrench in the love department. It could be that the object of our affections is somewhat inaccessible around time…. unfortunately the same could be true with our finances too! Double-check your bank account before making a big purchase. Just after, the Sun will form its yearly conjunction with nebulous Neptune both in Aquarius (exact at 4:56am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. All aspects of music, film, arts, creativity, abstract thought, dreaminess, intuition, escapism, and idealism will be highlighted. This is a good time to follow your gut feelings, as intuition will be high. We might be more introspective and contemplative. Serendipitous moments abound! Being near water may be soothing and regenerative. We may suddenly feel attracted (romantically) to a friend or a friendship could become a more spiritual connection. In general this one is very good for romance, but not clarity. Then, the Moon in Leo will form a positive sextile to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:35am EST). Time to tap into our inner discipline, goal setting, organization and attention to details! We may want to make long term plans in our close relationships.

In the afternoon, Venus in Capricorn will form an uncomfortable semisquare with Chiron in Pisces (exact at 3:04pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This could bring up past pains & past loves. Use this time to heal old relationship wounds. Then, the Moon in Leo makes its monthly opposition with Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 5:35pm EST). You may find that you are not able to express yourself as easily or someone may cut you off from saying something. It will be hard to put your thoughts into words. This is a time where someone may oppose your thoughts or feelings. The key is to integrate the two (thoughts & emotions), although it may not be easy. Lastly, the Moon in Leo will form its monthly opposition to Mars in Aquarius (exact at 10:30pm EST). Someone could irritate you during this transit. It’s possible to enjoy a debate with someone (or at worst, an argument). As with all Mars transits, I recommend exercise or doing something physical. Mar’s energy will want to get out one way or another; it might as well be constructive!

(Friday 2/18/11)- Overnight, the Moon in Leo will form its monthly opposition with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 2:08am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time. Especially since this will also enhance escapism (people with drug or alcohol issues will have trouble around this transit). If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. Then, the Moon in Leo forms an annoying quincunx with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 2:46am EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard.

Just after, we will experience the height of the Full Moon in Leo (exact at 3:36am EST). The Full Moon that takes place in January is often called the Full Snow Moon, the Hunger Moon, the Wolf Moon, or the Candles Moon. The height of the Full Moon is always signified by the opposition of the Sun (currently in Aquarius). Do you feel rebellious but are actually complacent? Do you have trouble balancing friendships with family (especially if you have children)? Do you remember to bring out your inner child sometimes to play? Do you buck the system just to stir things up? Do you partake in drama even if it doesn’t pertain to you? If you don’t have drama in your life, do you feel bored? Do you help your community or charities enough with your time and/or money? These questions/themes will be highlighted now. It depends where the Moon/Leo & Sun/Aquarius falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Full Moons astrologically are considered to be a time of culmination or endings. I personally like to take this time to meditate and send out prayers for family, friends, and humanity. This will start a 1+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into perfectionist Virgo (exact at 4:39am). Good Virgo Moon activities are: organization, being detail-oriented, service to others, health improvement, intellectual pursuits, practicality, research, and really anything that requires precision. Things to avoid are: being overly perfectionistic, excessive worry, analysis paralysis, criticism, and being too caught up in the details that we can’t see the forest through the trees. All of these themes will be prominent in the next 2 1/2 days. Next, the Moon in Virgo forms a stressful opposition with Chiron in Pisces (exact at 5:42am EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. It may be possible to run into someone that will tell you how to do something (even if they have never done it themselves)….annoying!

In the afternoon, the Moon in Virgo will quincunx Jupiter in Aries (exact at 1:17pm EST). This is a time where you could feel disconnected from the group. Someone could challenge your beliefs around this time. Our optimism or self-confidence may be a little low. This is not a time to rely on luck. Don’t worry, this will be temporary! Next, Venus in Capricorn will make an uncomfortable square with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 2:21pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Attaining long-term goals, finances, and relationships may feel strained around this time. Definitely not a time to rush into things without tending to all the fine details. We may feel shy or hindered in expressing love or with our romantic feelings. Another possibility is that we may want to put our relationships into a category, but remember that emotions don’t always need to make sense! Then, the Moon in Virgo will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 3:31pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Virgo & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

Happy Birthday Pisces!! The Sun will transition into the dreamy sign of Pisces (exact at 7:25pm EST). Words and phrases to describe Pisces are: “I Believe!”, dreamy, idealistic, caring, sympathetic, creative, artistic, tender, sensitive, drifter, psychic, impressionable, escapism, and charitable. Neptune is the ruling planet and it’s associated with feet, veins, fluids, lymphatic system, & glands. Its metal is Tin and Stones are: Jade, Coral, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, Rock Crystal, and Sapphire. We are moving away from a period of time where we were focusing our attentions on what was good for the masses (Aquarius) and now we will focus more on the individual (Pisces). Pisces is a dreamy water sign and they are known for being intuitive, unrealistic, idealistic, emotional, and creative. Pisces are known for taking in stray pets and stray people; always lending a sympathetic ear. Over the next month we may be feeling more charitable than usual….helping out our friends or neighbors in need. If you have a Pisces in your life, you may notice that they seem to drift away from time to time. That is because they need time to recuperate and reflect. You see, they tend to absorb energies like psychic sponges. All of this after a while seems to wear them out. True romantics at heart they love flowers, candy, soft music….the works! In love they tend to promise the Sun, the Moon and the Stars…but sometimes fall short on the delivery. They actually want you to dream with them, as this is their foreplay. Being very creative, they are often good at writing poetry, painting, music, etc. They tend to feel music on a deep visceral level. Pisces is said to be the hardest sign because it embodies a little of all the other 11 signs. This may be the reason why they have a bad reputations for being into escapism (especially with drugs and alcohol), depressive, and unreliable. It depends on where Pisces/Sun falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you. If you are a water sign (Scorpio or Cancer) or have strong water placements in your chart, you will feel right at home right. If you are a Virgo (or have Virgo placements in your chart) you may feel a little run-down because Pisces is your opposite sign. Some famous Pisceans are: Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Sidney Poitier, Drew Barrymore, Kurt Cobain, Nat King Cole, Cindy Crawford, Billy Crystal, Albert Einstein, George Harrison, Vanessa Williams, Glenn Close, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michelangelo, Aidan Quinn, Spike Lee, Dr. Seuss, Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor, Bruce Willis, Jerry Lewis, Rob Lowe, Quincy Jones, James Taylor, Liza Minnelli, Maurice Ravel, Jane Goodall, Alexander G. Bell, Jon Bon Jovi, Ron Howard, Johnny Cash, George Washington, Seal, Ansel Adams, Alan Greenspan and Michael Caine.

(Saturday 2/19/11)- In the morning, the Moon in Virgo forms a flowing trine with Venus in Capricorn (exact at 8:27am EST). You could find your thoughts with friends or loved ones. It is possible to receive a compliment on how you look. Love, beauty, art, creativity, and aesthetics will be favored (and because of this reason, shopping too). Pamper yourself!

In the afternoon, the Sun will make its yearly conjunction with Chiron (the Wounded Healer) both in Pisces (exact at 1:08pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is a great time to heal past hurts (especially with siblings and friends). We will be feeling positive about the future. Even if you have been feeling down lately, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a favorable time for healing, medicine, the mind/body/spirit connection, teaching, reoccurring problems in our life, and music. Lastly, the Moon in Virgo will form an annoying quincunx to Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 11:12pm EST) possibly causing blocks in communication. It may be nearly impossible to express ourselves. You ever had a time that you couldn’t put your thoughts into words?

Mark your calendars! Next week: Mercury moves into Pisces on Tuesday, joined by Mars on Wednesday!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person, Skype, or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……

Astro-Update! Sun moves into Pisces! Week of 2/14/10

I hope this Blog entry finds you well! On Sunday Venus will form uncomfortable aspects with the Saturn/Pluto square causing some delays with love in the morning, but it will get better later in the day! Actually, on Monday things will be more beneficial for love, finances, work and discipline. On Tuesday, expect the unexpected early in the day but later in the day we will be feeling social and magnanimous. Wednesday is an astrologically complex day and will be a mixed bag. Thursday will be the most astrologically quiet day of the week and will include the Sun’s shift into Pisces. On Friday there will be lots of Moon transits. On Saturday night we may experience a bump on the road when the Sun forms a contentious quincunx with Mars. Enjoy your week!

Please reference the Blog entry on the date the planet went into that sign for an explanation.

Sun: Aquarius until 2/18, Pisces 2/18-3/20

Current Retrograde Planets:

Please reference the Blog entry on the date the planet went Retrograde for an explanation.

Mars in Leo 12/20/09-3/10/10

Saturn in Libra 1/13/10-5/30/10

I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 2/14/10)- Happy Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year! So today is supposed to be a day that is celebrating love and romance…unfortunately, nobody told the celestial bodies!! Today starts out a little rough with 4 quincunxes (remember, quincunxes can denote a time with obstacles & delays) 2 of which involve Venus (the Goddess of love & beauty). Things will get better later in the day when the Sun conjuncts dreamy Neptune. I would say that 4pm EST will be the tipping point. Today is also the Chinese New Year and we are entering the Year of the Metal Tiger! I don’t specialize in Chinese Astrology, but I have a great web page for you to reference if you would like to look up your Chinese sign and find out more info: http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/chinese_2010_horoscope_year_of_tiger.html Hope you enjoy your day!

In the morning, the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces (exact at 7:23am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Next, Venus in Pisces will make an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:24am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Quincunxes usually present themselves in the form of a block or obstacle. Then, Venus in Pisces will form an annoying quincunx with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 11:39am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Quincunxes usually signify blockages and/or delays. This transit may bring some tension (especially with love, family, & finances). It may be hard to act on our feelings. Make sure you look before you leap. I always advise doing some sort of physical activity whenever Mars is involved because Mars’ energy will want to get out one way or another. This is also a good time to look within and find your “heart’s desire” whether that be a person, vocation, hobby, or otherwise (but wait to act until later). Sometimes this will bring up sexual tension.

As if to add insult to injury, the Moon will go onto highlight the two Venus quincunxes that occurred earlier. It will aspect Saturn (R) (exact at 2:58pm EST) and Mars (R) (exact at 3:21pm EST). Luckily, things will get a little better in the love department when the Moon will conjunct Venus both in Pisces (exact at 3:54pm EST). We will want to experience love on a visceral level. This is a great time to: pamper ourselves, decorate, shop (because we will have an “eye” for things that look good), artistic endeavors, creativity, and be in the company of loved ones. Sometimes this transit can have us feeling a little indolent; it is actually a favored time for finances. The Sun will make its yearly conjunction with Chiron (the Wounded Healer) both in Aquarius (exact at 4:26pm EST). Then, the Moon in Pisces will form a positive sextile with Pluto Capricorn (exact at 4:58pm) helping us to connect with what is going on under the surface. If you were awake during this time it would be beneficial for: cathartic experiences, deep conversations, and all forms of counseling are favored during this transit. The Sun will form its yearly conjunction with nebulous Neptune both in Aquarius (exact at 6:19pm EST). We end the day on a positive note when the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Jupiter both in Pisces (exact at 8:32pm EST) assisting us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, publishing, advertising, sales, horses, and spirituality.

(Monday 2/15/10)- President’s Day Observed There will only be two planetary transits today and the remainder of the day will be under the influence of the Pisces Moon. Sextiles are like small little gifts that may require some work to bring to fruition, but would be totally worth it. It starts overnight, when Venus in Pisces will form a positive sextile with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 2:17am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is power in love, pure and simple. This transit will actually be beneficial with both love and finances. If the energies are harnessed properly, there could be true transformation in these areas. The only caveat is possibly obsessing (or being too intense) about love/sex/finances. As Pluto, even when positively aspected, is still prone to having a dark side. Then, Mars (R) in Leo will positively sextile Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 10:20am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Mars wants to go, go, go and Saturn’s approach is slow & steady. Mars will give us the energy, but be prepared to be in it for the long haul. Try to be patient and take your time with handling the details; it will be worth the effort! Put your energy towards planning, family/domestic pursuits, finances, organization and goal setting. Since both of these planets are Retrograde right now, you may find that you have to go back and re-examine something…handle the situation now and put it to bed for the final time! This is a good time to get things done!

(Tuesday 2/16/10)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 2-5pm(I take my last reading at 5pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

Happy Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday)! In the morning, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 9:32am EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Pisces’ influence it can also assist healing and healing arts. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams. This will start a 10 hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon will transitions into pioneering Aries. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

The Moon transitions into Aries (exact at 7:30pm EST). Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches. Later in the day, one of the most positive transits take place when lovely Venus will conjunct lucky Jupiter both in Pisces (exact at 9:14pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is one of the most beneficial transits; make sure you utilize its energy! This will be beneficial for group gatherings and social events. If I were a betting woman (which I am); this would be a good time to buy a lottery ticket. (Sorry, but I am not responsible for any losses nor am I condoning gambling-LOL). Venus transits also encourage us to: get outside & be close to nature, beauty, music, and the arts. This is also a great time for publishing, law/legal matters, religious pursuits, large animals (especially horses), marketing, and sales.

(Wednesday 2/17/10)- Ash Wednesday Observed. Just after midnight, Mercury in Aquarius will form a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 12:01am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. These two planets are sort-of the “live wires” of the zodiac. People with ADD, hyper activity, anxiety, nervous conditions, etc., may have difficulty around this time. We may get ideas or sudden insights, but we may be too scattered to stop and think them through. There is a possibility that you may encounter someone that serves as inspiration. Awakening. There could be sudden changes in our plans, travel snafus, and issues surrounding technology..so just remain flexible. There may be difficulty or disruption with sleep. Then, the long-term transit comes to a height when Neptune conjuncts Chiron both in Aquarius (exact at 12:30am EST). Time to look within and discover what makes your soul happy. You know those faint whispers that you hear when you drift away from your life purpose? Listen to them! This may have us looking back at past regrets with rose colored glasses. Try instead to heal past wounds or at least try to keep a realistic memory of the situation. This can also be a time of heightened intuition and empathy. People with drug or alcohol issues may have difficulty around this time. This transit has a strong tie with death and the spiritual. This could be a time that we could receive a “visitation” from the other side either in a dream or otherwise or we may want to honor the memory of a deceased loved one. Try to remain open to the experience, as it could be very healing. Then, the Moon in Aries forms a flowing trine with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 1:55am EST). Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy. People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right. Then the Moon will highlight the Saturn/Pluto square again. The Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 2:39am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short and the height may occur while we are sleeping. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility. Next the Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 5:00am EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours.

We will end the day on a high note when the Moon in Aries will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 5:23pm EST). This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat. This transit helps with the flow of communication. It will be easier to express how we feel around this transit.

(Thursday 2/18/10)- I will be attending the 4th annual Go Red For Women Forum and Luncheon, “A Conversation with the Heart,” at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington! I have donated a 1-hour astrological Reading for the silent auction. There are still tickets available! Help this great cause & help the American Heart Association: https://ahawilliston.ejoinme.org/MyEvents/20092010BurlingtonGoRedLuncheon/tabid/188053/Default.aspx

This is day will mainly consist of Moon transits. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Happy Birthday Pisces!! The Sun will transition into the dreamy sign of Pisces (exact at 1:36pm EST). Its metal is Tin. Stones: Jade, Coral, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, Rock Crystal, and Sapphire. The Sun will now be joining Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus in this sign.

Later in the evening, the Moon in Aries forms a positive sextile with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 10:50pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! Just after, the Moon in Aries forming a positive sextile to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 10:52pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. This will start a 7 hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until tomorrow when the Moon transitions into stable Taurus.

(Friday 2/19/10)- This is day will consist of Moon transits. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Early in the morning, the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 5:55am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 & 1/2 days. Then the Moon in Taurus will positively sextile the Sun in Pisces (exact at 7:20am EST). This is an ideal time to be with friends & loved ones. This transit is conducive for feeling supported. Maybe it’s time to do something nice for your sweetheart? Just after, the Moon in Taurus will form an uncomfortable square with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 10:55am EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (gardening, housework, working on the car, etc. all count!). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Did you ever have a moment where circumstances seem like they are conspiring against you? Often, this transit results in a culmination of things that can be annoying. Sometimes small irritations or quarrels can result.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Taurus will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 12:32pm EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short… Next, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 3:10pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature. Lastly, the Moon in Taurus makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 8:33pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.

(Saturday 2/20/10)- Overnight, the Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Venus in Pisces (exact at 2:49am EST). It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress. It will be easy to interact with others. This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances. Then, the Moon in Taurus will form an uncomfortable square with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 10:53am EST).

In the evening, things may get a little bumpy when the Sun in Pisces forms an annoying quincunx with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 8:13pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Make sure you are well prepared, because delays could block our path. It seems the more we assert ourselves and the harder we try, the more resistance will be felt. The best advice I can give around this transit is, leave your ego at home! There could be a lot of aggressive attitudes, competitiveness, ego-centric behavior, arguments, temper tantrums, and quick judgments around this time. There may also be an increase in accidents (please be careful while driving & allow extra time to get to your destination). The lessons learned will be fortuitous in the long run. We may have a lot of extra energy, so make sure it is channeled properly (like with exercise).

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
