Hope this entry finds you well! On Sunday we will celebrate the Suns entry into the sign of Taurus. Monday will most likely run at a nice comfortable pace. On Wednesday we will celebrate Earth day and also welcome the Moon and the planet Mars moving into the pioneering sign of Aries. Friday will be a “power day” with the New Moon in Taurus and Mercury forming a positive sextile to Uranus.
I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.
(Sun 4/19)- The Moon (still in unique Aquarius) will form a tense square with Mercury in Taurus (exact at 1:25am EST) this can cause a (real or perceived) breakdown in communication (late last night or early today). It may be hard to put ones feelings into words at this time. Things will lighten when the Moon conjuncts optimistic Jupiter both in Aquarius (exact at 10:53am EST). This is a great time to be with friends or groups of people, because of the added sense of comradery. Use caution with overspending & overconfidence (remember conjunctions can be too much of a good thing). The Moon will also conjunct nebulous Neptune both in Aquarius (exact at 6:15pm EST). All aspects of escapism, music, arts, creativity, dreaminess, and idealism will be highlighted. As always with Neptune, it’s not a favored time for dealing in business because facts can be “fuzzy”. This will start a long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until tomorrow at 1:55am EST. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.
Happy Birthday Taurus!! The Sun will shift into stabile Taurus (exact at 6:44pm EST). Now the Sun and Mercury are in Taurus (symbol is the Bull). Words and phrases to describe Taurus are: “I Have!”, Fixed/Earthy, reliability, stubbornness, possessions, determination, slow and steady progress, possessiveness, (sometimes) laziness but usually hard-working, pleasure, tactile, good/rich food, aesthetics, physical, sensual, and prosperous. Its physical associations are the ears, throat, lower jaw, and thyroid gland. The metal is Copper. Stones: Emerald, Sapphire, Amber, Rose Quartz, Turquoise, and Azurite. Some famous Taurians are: George Clooney, Renee Zellweger, Salvador Dali, Stevie Wonder, Carol Burnett, Florence Nightingale, Billy Joel, and Shirley MacLaine. The Sun will be in this sign until May 20th.
(Mon 4/20 )- This is an astrologically quiet day, with most of its energies being positive. The Moon will transition into the dreamy sign of Pisces (exact at 1:55am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days…… The Moon will make a positive sextile to the Sun in Taurus (exact at 2:32am EST). Even though the height of this event will most likely occur while we are sleeping, it can still influence us late last night & into early this morning. This will present an opportunity for someone to offer his or her support or you could support someone else during this transit. You will be happy to lend an ear or a helping hand to those who need it. The Moon will make another supportive sextile to Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 8:10am EST). This will be a favorable time for business (especially earlier in the day). You will be able to look below the surface and detect any dubious behaviors. This is also a beneficial time for in-depth conversations and counseling.
(Tues 4/21)- We start the day with the Moon opposing Saturn (R) in Virgo (exact at 7:23am EST). This event happens monthly. Saturn’s effects can be sobering; all work and no play. It is possible to feel a little down at this time and/or isolated from the crowd. Luckily it doesn’t last long. Later in the day, the Moon will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Taurus (exact at 6:24pm EST). This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat. This transit helps with the flow of communication.
The big event that will happen today is when Venus will conjunct Mars in Pisces (exact at 7:19pm EST). If you have a romantic bone in your body…..now is the time to use it! This combination often leads to physical expression of love & passion. Secondarily, it can also stimulate business & finances. But heck, who wants to talk about that? LOL Romances that begin under this influence need time to cool down before a major commitment is made, for they can be hot and heavy! Remember too much of a good thing rule with conjunctions? Just watch arguing with your loved one. Mars’ energy will demand to get out one-way or the other. It would be better to make love, not war! The Moon will highlight this conjunction again tomorrow…….
(Wed 4/22)- Happy Earth Day! This will be a very active astrological day! The Moon will make it’s monthly conjunction to three planets (all in Pisces): Uranus (exact at 12:38am EST), Venus (exact at 9:29am EST), and Mars (exact at 10:10am EST). If you are a Pisces or a water sign (Scorpio & Cancer) you will feel this more strongly. If you are a Virgo (or have a lot of Virgo in your chart) this could be a little uncomfortable and you will need to remain more flexible throughout the day. Remember conjunctions are a strengthening of the planets energies but can sometimes be too much of a good thing. The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. If you are sleeping while this occurs, it can produce vivid dreams. The Venus connection, of course, makes us want to feel love on a visceral level. Then, the Mars connection will make us want to put all of the above into action. There will be a short void-of-course cycle between 9:29am EST-10:09am EST) where it would not be good to initiate anything new.
Speaking of action, both the Moon (exact at 10:09am EST) & Mars (exact at 9:44am EST) will move into the sign of Aries today! Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2/12 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress, especially of you are prone to tension headaches. But wait! Now Mars moved into Aries too. Mars is the natural ruler of Aries and is “comfortable: in this sign. Mars influences: action, aggression, physicality, the person we are sexually attracted to, and vitality. All of the same Moon themes above will be highlighted over the next month. It would be best to take initiative now on projects before Mercury goes Retrograde on May 7th (Just FYI).
The only real bump in the road during today will be when the Moon squares Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 3:57pm EST) causing issues with power struggles. During this time people aren’t willing to back down, possibly forcing us to acquiesce. I think people will have a lot of energy today, possibly causing some aggression. Lastly, Mercury in Taurus will square Jupiter in Aquarius (exact at 8:52pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Our minds and mental prowess will be active during this transit. Remember all that fiery energy I was describing earlier? Well this is just like a big fan to the flame. Try to avoid overconfidence or over enthusiasm. We could have so many ideas that we simply won’t know where to start! This will give us the urge to over commit ourselves and therefore get us into a pickle later. Just remember, we won’t always have this much energy at our disposal. Watch over spending during this time too (especially speculative ventures).
As with any Taurus connection, gardening is favored, so get out there and celebrate earth/nature!!
(Thurs 4/23)- This is an astrologically quiet day (maybe we could use it after yesterday?). The big event that will happen is when the Sun in Taurus will make a flowing trine to regenerative Pluto in Capricorn (R) (exact at 1:44am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Even though the height of this will occur while we are sleeping, we will feel its effects last night and most of today. All aspects of counseling, insight, and deep psychological processes are favored during this time. This would be a beneficial time for business, planning, and finances too. A little later in the afternoon the Moon in Aries will make an awkward quincunx to Saturn (R) in Virgo (exact at 1:31pm EST) making us feel unorganized or unprepared (possibly in the eyes of someone with authority over you). Quincunxes usually present themselves in the form of a blockage, but they luckily don’t last long.
(Fri 4/24)- POWER DAY! Lots happening today with the planets! Overall this should be a positive day! Overnight, the Moon will form a positive sextile with Jupiter in Aquarius (exact at 2:45am EST) helping us to feel optimistic. 
Then, the planet Venus (the Goddes of Love) will travel forward into the sign of Aries (exact at 3:18am EST). Because of the backward retrograde cycle, it had into gone the sign of Pisces for two weeks. If you would like more info in Venus in Aries, please refer to my 1st Blog entry titled “Thurs Feb 5th: Saturn Opposes Uranus 2nd Time!”. It will remain in this sign until June 6th 2009!
The Moon will form another positive sextile to the planet Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 8:11am EST) increasing our imagination & intuition. This will start a void-of-course Moon cycle between 8:11am-2:45pm EST. Use this time frame to finish old business and take care of nagging details. The Moon will transition into the stabile sign of Taurus (exact at 2:46pm EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. All of these traits will be heightened during the New Moon (exact at 11:22pm EST) tonight. So, after the void-of-course cycle has concluded, it will be a beneficial time to start new projects (or think of ideas for new projects). Speaking of ideas, we will probably have lots of them when the planet Mercury in Taurus forms a positive sextile to Uranus in Pisces (exact at 3:38pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt longer than a Moon transit. This transit assists with quick wit, ideas, channeling, clairvoyance, what I like to call “a light bulb moment”, inventions, innovation, writing, and technology. It is possible to hear from someone that you haven’t spoken with in a long time and is especially helpful with communicating with friends, siblings, and teachers. Lastly, The Moon will form a flowing trine to regenerative Pluto (R) Capricorn (exact at 8:12pm EST) highlighting the same qualities as yesterdays Sun/Pluto trine. As you can see, all of the transits today are helpful, so make the most of it!
(Sat 4/25)- This will be an astrologically quiet day. The Moon will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Virgo (exact at 4:35pm EST). This is a great time for organization and being disciplined. BTW, this is a very beneficial Moon cycle (1st quarter in Taurus) for gardening, beauty treatments, and financial planning. Just use caution later when Mercury in Taurus will square nebulous Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 8:54pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt longer than a Moon transit. This can definitely cause our mental processes to be a little foggy. Be careful of being misled and double check the fine print (it is easier to be deceived). On the upside it could be beneficial for creative endeavors and music, just leave heavy decisions making for another time.
