Coming Up: Venus in Gemini turns Retrograde 5/15/12

Keep in mind while you read this Blog that I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. The effects of a transit are often felt as long as a day or two (or even longer). The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. It’s important to remember that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits. I will no longer be including every transit that occurs, but rather highlighting the most dominant transit (to make the Blog a little easier to read, in response to reader feedback!).

(Sunday 4/15/12)- Orthodox Easter. Just after midnight, the Moon in Aquarius will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 12:10am EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time.

In the afternoon, the Sun in Aries will oppose Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 2:26pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This can lead to frustration with obtaining or pursuing goals. Someone in authority could stand in the way of something you want. Certainly having trouble with getting organized will be a problem. This transit can present a problem for folks with a predisposition to depression or feeling sorry for oneself. We may find it very hard to get anything accomplished during this time; possibly making us feel rundown and lethargic. This is not a good day for work and would be better spent playing, meditating, cooking, getting out in nature (especially in the woods or gardening), napping, or really anything that allows your inner creativity to flourish. Later, the Moon will highlight the Sun/Saturn opposition (exact at 6:42pm EST) and this will also be the beginning of a long 6-hour void of course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into intuitive Pisces tomorrow. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

(Monday 4/16/12)- This day may get off to a slow start with both Pisces & Neptune being highlighted. However, things will certainly speed up when Mercury transitions into aggressive Aries later in the day!! Overnight, the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces (exact at 1:38am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon makes its monthly conjunction with Neptune both in Pisces (exact at 6:25am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. Because idealism & escapism can be enhanced with this transit, I wouldn’t make a big decisions or sign contracts around this time. If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams. Next, the Moon in Pisces will form its monthly opposition to Mars (R) in Virgo (exact at 8:44am EST). Someone could irritate you during this transit. It’s possible to enjoy a debate with someone (or at worst, an argument). As with all Mars transits, I recommend exercise or doing something physical. Mar’s energy will want to get out one way or another; it might as well be constructive!

In the afternoon, Venus in Gemini will make a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 12:29pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Saturn’s influence is sobering to Venus. Attaining long-term goals, finances, and relationships may feel strained around this time. We may feel shy or hindered in expressing love or with our romantic feelings. Another possibility is that we may want to put our relationships into a category, but remember that emotions don’t always need to make sense! And here we go again, Mercury (the God of Communication & Transportation) will move into the sign of Aries (exact at 6:42pm EST). If this seems familiar, it’s because Mercury was in this sign before it moved into Pisces during its Retrograde cycle between 3/2-3/23. Some words/ phrases to describe Aries are: “I AM!”, Cardinal/Fire, passionate, head strong, adventurous, honest (often blunt), independent, enthusiastic, dynamic, selfish, courageous, energetic, enthusiastic, and easily bored. It rules over the head, face (not the nose), brain, eyes, upper jaw, fevers & inflammation. The metal is Iron and Stones are: Amethyst, Diamond, and Bloodstone. We are moving away from a time of intuitive receptivity & helping the individual (Pisces) and moving into a time of pioneering, self-starting attitudes (Aries). This will help our mental processes to speed up. Aries is known for being able to start many things, but isn’t great at finishing. Try to exorcise patience (it will be hard). This is a great time to start new projects! People will be straightforward and direct around this time (maybe even a little blunt). This would be a great time to put a fresh spin on an old, outdated method. You may find people being a little too demanding and bossy right now (“take no prisoners”!). We may find ourselves moving a little faster (literally), so careful with speeding and fast moving vehicles. It depends where Mercury/Aries falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Mercury will move into the sign of Taurus on 5/9!

(Tuesday 4/17/12)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3-6pm (I take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

There will only be one Moon transit occurring today. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Later in the morning the Moon in Pisces makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 10:34am EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. This will begin a very long 25+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will end when the Moon transitions into powerful Aries on tomorrow morning!! Since the day will be under the influence of the void-of-course Pisces Moon cycle, it may give this day a slow or dragging quality. Things will pick up tomorrow when the Moon enters Aries…

(Wednesday 4/18/12)- Overnight, the Moon in Pisces will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 4:03am EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short. The Moon transitions into pioneering Aries (exact at 11:59am EST). Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches.

In the afternoon, the Moon will conjunct Mercury both in Aries (exact at 3:28pm EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time. This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions. Next, the Moon in Aries makes an annoying quincunx to Mars (R) in Virgo (exact at 7:33pm EST). Did you ever meet someone that says something that is completely different than how they actually act? For instance: you went out on a date, the person says that they had a fantastic time, and then they never called you? This type of disconnect (coming from yourself or coming from others) may be more pronounced around this time. Lastly, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Aries (exact at 11:45pm EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Aries’ influence it can also assist with a pioneering spirit and breaking out of your rut. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams.

(Thursday 4/19/12)- The Moon in Libra will square intense Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 6:57am EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours. Then, Mercury in Aries forms a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 9:44am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Too much information (TMI)! This is a time where we could find others (or even ourselves) saying too much. If you ever had interests in other cultures, religions, law, marketing, publishing, and/or travel; it would be a great time to explore these subjects. Use caution with overconfidence and avoid embellishment of the facts. The upside is that we could be feeling fairly optimistic and will have a bright mental outlook.

Happy Birthday Taurus!! The Sun moves into earthy Taurus (exact at 12:12pm EST). Words and phrases to describe Taurus are: “I Have!”, Fixed/Earthy, reliability, stubbornness, possessions, determination, slow and steady progress, possessiveness, (sometimes) laziness but usually hard-working, pleasure, tactile, good/rich food, aesthetics, physical, sensual, and prosperous. Its physical associations are the ears, throat, lower jaw, neck, and thyroid gland. The metal is Copper. Stones: Emerald, Sapphire, Amber, Rose Quartz, Turquoise, and Azurite. We are moving away from a time of bold, impetuous behavior (Aries) and moving into a time where we will be more thorough and steady (Taurus). Over the next month we should be concentrating on spending time finishing all of the projects that we started when the Sun was in Aries. The ruling planet of Taurus is Venus and is associated with beauty and luxury. Taurus’ tend to work hard and play hard. This sign is associated with rich food, luscious fabrics, and comfortable lifestyles. Yes, Taurus’ have a need to look good, but aren’t ones to wear itchy sweaters or tight shoes…they need to feel good too! Taurus is also associated with wealth and material possessions. Not that all Taurus’ are wealthy, but they usually have a good degree of knowing how to budget and to stretch the dollar. Now is a good time to get your finances in order and to determine what possessions you value. You know the rule, if you haven’t touched it in one year; it’s time to donate it to the Good Will! I can’t write about Taurus and not mention the notorious trait that this sign has…stubbornness! Over the next month try to avoid opposition, “just because”. Make sure you pick and choose your battles. Discern what is important to you and let go of the rest. Some famous Taurus are: George Clooney, Jay Leno, Renee Zellweger, Salvador Dali, Stevie Wonder, Carol Burnett, Florence Nightingale, Billy Joel, Shirley MacLaine, Al Pacino, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder, Bono, Cher, James Brown, Sigmund Freud, Pierce Brosnan, Debra Winger, Robert Browning, David Beckham, Chow Yun-Fat, Jack Nicholson, Daniel Day-Lewis, William Shakespeare, Janet Jackson, Jerry Seinfeld, Uma Thurman, Katherine Hepburn, Kelly Clarkson, Dennis Rodman, Cate Blanchett, George Lucas. Barbra Streisand, Fred Astaire, Pope John Paul II, and Charles Mingus. The Sun will remain in Taurus until May 20th when it will transition into Gemini. Next, the Moon in Aries will form a (minor, yet pleasant) sextile with Venus in Gemini (exact at 2:40pm EST). It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress. It will be easy to interact with others. This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances.

(Friday 4/20/12)- The astrological day starts in the afternoon when the Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:35pm EST). Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility. This will be the beginning of a long 8+ hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will end in the tomorrow just after midnight when the Moon transitions into practical Taurus. Next, Mercury in Aries forms an annoying quincunx with Mars in Virgo (exact at 6:15pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Think before you speak! This may cause us to feel restless and fidgety (attention those with ADD or ADHD). Our thoughts may be moving at a fast pace, but it’s best to look before you leap!

(Saturday 4/21/12)- Next, the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 12:05am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 days. A few hours later the height of the New Moon will occur in the sign of Taurus (exact at 3:18am EST). The New Moon is considered to be highly auspicious times for starting new things, new ideas, new projects, and manifesting. All of Taurus Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified. I personally, like to do space clearing and meditating around this time. The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Taurus). This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones. It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit. Just use caution however, because there may be so much energy that we could encounter stubbornness or possibly greed. It depends on where the Moon/Sun/Taurus are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Then, the Moon in Taurus forms a positive sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact at 5:24am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. Next, the Moon in Taurus forms a flowing trine with Mars in Virgo (exact at 8:12am EST). Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy. People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right.

In the evening, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 7:25pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

Stay tuned for next week when there will be more exciting astrological energy!!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional intuitive astrological reading. I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype. Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……

Astro-Update! Mercury & Uranus into Aries! Week of 3/6/11

I hope this week’s Blog entry finds you well. The biggest astrological “theme” that is occurring this week, is that both Mercury & Uranus enter the sign of Aries. They will be conjuncting each other on Wednesday. These two are the “live wires” of the zodiac. It may be hard for some people to feel settled at this time. We may want everything done yesterday. People could be impatient or jittery. You may need to practice your grounding work and meditating would be beneficial (if you can sit still that long). Anyway, enjoy your week!

Current Retrograde Planets:

Please reference the Blog entry on the date the planet went Retrograde for an explanation.

Saturn Retrograde in Libra 1/26/11-6/12/11

Coming up: Mercury goes Retrograde in Aries 3/30-4/23

I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 3/6/11)- Just after midnight, the Moon transitions into pioneering Aries (exact at 12:14am EST).Aries Moons are similar to New Moons.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 2:50pm EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours. Then, the Sun in Pisces will quincunx Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:26pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Saturn’s nickname is the “task master”. We may find it very hard to get anything accomplished during this time. Possibly making us feel rundown and lethargic. This can be a time of pessimism, feeling “the blues”, or even loneliness. Try to avoid being overly critical and hard on yourself (or others). It is also possible to clash with someone older than yourself (especially father figures or someone in authority). Remember, that Saturn rules over falls….so be careful if you have to walk on snow or ice! Hopefully, you won’t have a lot to do today….if at all possible, try to take it easy and relax! Lastly, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Jupiter both in Aries (exact at 6:43pm EST) assisting us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, publishing, advertising, sales, horses, and spirituality.

(Monday 3/7/11)- We will have one (difficult) Moon transit today. This is a good time to remind you that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. In the morning, the Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 8:51am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility. The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the Aries Moon….

(Tuesday 3/8/11)- I will not be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today due to inclement weather conditions.

Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday). Another “light” astrological day. In the late morning, the Moon in Aries forms a positive sextile to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 11:04am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? This will also be the beginning of a short 1+ hour void of course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into the earthy Taurus Moon. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

In the afternoon, the Moon transitions into the earthy Taurus Moon (exact at 12:52pm EST). These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 ½ days.

(Wednesday 3/9/11)- Ash Wednesday. Things definitely pick up a bit today! Mercury and Uranus form a conjunction, then Mercury moves into Aries! Yikes, that’s a lot of energy floating around. These two planets are sort-of the “live wires” of the zodiac. FLEXIBITY is the key word for today. Overnight, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 3:27am EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Then, the Moon in Taurus will square Venus in Aquarius (exact at 6:23am EST). Although we will have a drive to be with others around this time, it would be best to avoid heavy conversations pertaining to love. Sometimes the object of our affections is just out of reach (or otherwise detained) around this transit. The is not a good time to go shopping or work on beautification because what we think looks good now may seem like a bad idea at a later time. Things will go to another level when Mercury conjuncts Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 11:05am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Make sure you write down ideas at this time, as information may come with lightening speed! This is an excellent time to talk with a mentor or receive a “lesson” from a teacher (it doesn’t have to be in a formal scholastic setting). Ideas, mental processes, writing, information, inventions, New Age ideologies, engineering, mathematics, and technology (especially computers) are all favored. For folks that are prone to: anxiety, nervousness, palpitations, seizures (or really any condition that affects the electrical system of the body), this transit and exacerbate those tendencies. So, work on grounding yourself!

In the afternoon, the Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Mars in Pisces (exact at 12:05pm EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (the energy will need a constructive outlet). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Our feelings will be in alignment with how we act. Make sure to put your actions toward positive pursuits!Mercury (the God of Communication & Transportation) will move into the sign of Aries (exact at 12:47pm EST). Mercury will have an extended-stay in this sign because of its upcoming Retrograde cycle and won’t move into the sign of Taurus until 5/15!

Lastly, the Moon in Taurus will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 8:20pm EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short…

(Thursday 3/10/11)- Overnight, the Moon in Taurus will positively sextile the Sun in Pisces (exact at 3:43am EST). This is an ideal time to be with friends & loved ones. This transit is conducive for feeling supported. Maybe it’s time to do something nice for your sweetheart? Then, Venus in Aquarius will form a beneficial sextile to Jupiter in Aries (exact at 7:25am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. I have to admit, this is one of my favorite transits. This will bring luck/opportunity with both love and finances! This will be beneficial for group gatherings and social events too. If I were a betting woman (which I am), this would be a good time to buy a lottery ticket. (Sorry, but I am not responsible for any losses nor am I condoning gambling-LOL). Venus transits encourage us to get outside and be close to nature, enjoy art, and admire beauty in all its splendid forms. Nice!! Next, the Moon in Gemini will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 6:06am EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children).

Later in the evening, the Moon in Taurus forms an uncomfortable square with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 10:57pm) telling us to not believe everything we are told. Illusion, escapism and deception will be prevalent. On the positive side, creativity will be high around this transit. If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time.

(Friday 3/11/11)- Today has a lot of cosmic energy. There will be 5 Lunar transits; 4 out of 5 will be positive! The big event will be when Uranus moves into Aries for the next 7 years! It is always a big deal when a slow-moving planet switches signs because it has the ability to affect the masses. Uranus’ energy can be kind-of jolting, so try to remain grounded and use this energy in a positive way!

Just after midnight, the Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 12:26am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This could cause disturbed dreams and/or sleep (possibly inspirational or vivid dreams). This will start a very short void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into chatty Gemini (exact at 12:31am EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Aries (exact at 6:55am EST). This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat. This transit helps with the flow of communication. It will be easier to express how we feel around this transit.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Gemini will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 2:41pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children).

The planet Uranus will transition into the sign of Aries (exact at 7:49pm EST) for the 1st time in 84 years!! Well, that is not entirely true, but it is a catchy headline. Actually Uranus was in Aries briefly last year from 5/27/10-8/13/10. The last time it was in this sign was 1928-1935. Uranus is a slow moving planet and the third largest in our solar system. Uranus rules over: disruption, change, reform, originality, friends, lightening, uniqueness, electricity, New Age (and Astrology), technology (like computers), accidents, and unexpected events. It is associated with lower legs & ankles, blood circulation, nervous conditions, body spasms and X-Rays. No matter where Uranus shows up in your chart, it will force change in that area! It will reside in Aries for the next 7 years. Uranus’ nickname is the “Great Awakener” and with Uranus, time to expect the unexpected! Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac and is ruled by Mars (the God of War). Unfortunately, last time it went into this sign (in 2010) we heard of brain aneurisms and hemorrhages like what Brett Michaels and Gary Coleman went through. Collectively, there may be sudden changes in leadership with emphasis on revolutionary ideas. I have the feeling we are already experiencing some of Uranus’ energy now considering what has been occurring with both Libya & Egypt. During its last cycle in Aries, both Hitler & Stalin were in power and were (sadly) quite persuasive. Hitler actually promoting his “Arien” race concept (creepy-I know). I have to be honest, I am not sure if this is based on astrology or my own intuition, but I keep thinking about fire and explosions being associated with this time-frame (maybe volcanic activity?). Hopefully some of Uranus’ good traits will produce cutting edge innovations, space & science, new healing machinery, people striving for independence, and change. I guess if you don’t like change, you may feel a little uncomfortable. That is what this planet’s energy is like, it can be both stress inducing and stress relieving all at the same time. With these long planetary cycles, we will feel it much more sharply in the beginning. As it settles in, we will become more accustom to the energy. No matter what, you can count on the fact that it will be interesting. In the big picture, this event is also tied to the big Cardinal T-Square that is happening until 2015. Between 2011-2015, Uranus will form a tense square with Pluto. Talk about transformations? Yikes! It depends where Aries/Uranus is located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. This event will be felt very strongly if you are an Aries or Libra. (Since my Sun is at 3 degrees Aries, I can tell you from personal experience, I am FEELING it!!)

In the evening, the Moon in Gemini makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Aries (exact at 8:31pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. The Moon in Gemini forms a flowing trine with Venus in Aquarius (exact at 11:38pm EST). You could find your thoughts with friends or loved ones. It is possible to receive a compliment on how you look. Love, beauty, art, creativity, and aesthetics will be favored (and because of this reason, shopping too). Pamper yourself!

(Saturday 3/12/11)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3-5:30pm **Please note the time change** (I take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

Today will consist of all Moon transits. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Overnight, the Moon in Gemini will form an uncomfortable square with Mars in Pisces (exact at 2:51am EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (gardening, housework, working on the car, etc. all count!). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Did you ever have a moment where circumstances seem like they are conspiring against you? Often, this transit results in a culmination of things that can be annoying. Sometimes small irritations or quarrels can result. Then, the Moon in Gemini will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 6:30am EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist!

Later, the Sun in Pisces will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Gemini (exact at 6:45pm EST). We may experience some tension between friends or loved ones. This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported. Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles.

Mark your calendars! Next Saturday: Full Moon in Virgo!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person, Skype, or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
