Coming Up: Venus in Gemini turns Retrograde 5/15/12

Keep in mind while you read this Blog that I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. The effects of a transit are often felt as long as a day or two (or even longer). The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. It’s important to remember that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits. I will no longer be including every transit that occurs, but rather highlighting the most dominant transit (to make the Blog a little easier to read, in response to reader feedback!).

(Sunday 4/15/12)- Orthodox Easter. Just after midnight, the Moon in Aquarius will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 12:10am EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time.

In the afternoon, the Sun in Aries will oppose Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 2:26pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This can lead to frustration with obtaining or pursuing goals. Someone in authority could stand in the way of something you want. Certainly having trouble with getting organized will be a problem. This transit can present a problem for folks with a predisposition to depression or feeling sorry for oneself. We may find it very hard to get anything accomplished during this time; possibly making us feel rundown and lethargic. This is not a good day for work and would be better spent playing, meditating, cooking, getting out in nature (especially in the woods or gardening), napping, or really anything that allows your inner creativity to flourish. Later, the Moon will highlight the Sun/Saturn opposition (exact at 6:42pm EST) and this will also be the beginning of a long 6-hour void of course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into intuitive Pisces tomorrow. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

(Monday 4/16/12)- This day may get off to a slow start with both Pisces & Neptune being highlighted. However, things will certainly speed up when Mercury transitions into aggressive Aries later in the day!! Overnight, the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces (exact at 1:38am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon makes its monthly conjunction with Neptune both in Pisces (exact at 6:25am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. Because idealism & escapism can be enhanced with this transit, I wouldn’t make a big decisions or sign contracts around this time. If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams. Next, the Moon in Pisces will form its monthly opposition to Mars (R) in Virgo (exact at 8:44am EST). Someone could irritate you during this transit. It’s possible to enjoy a debate with someone (or at worst, an argument). As with all Mars transits, I recommend exercise or doing something physical. Mar’s energy will want to get out one way or another; it might as well be constructive!

In the afternoon, Venus in Gemini will make a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 12:29pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Saturn’s influence is sobering to Venus. Attaining long-term goals, finances, and relationships may feel strained around this time. We may feel shy or hindered in expressing love or with our romantic feelings. Another possibility is that we may want to put our relationships into a category, but remember that emotions don’t always need to make sense! And here we go again, Mercury (the God of Communication & Transportation) will move into the sign of Aries (exact at 6:42pm EST). If this seems familiar, it’s because Mercury was in this sign before it moved into Pisces during its Retrograde cycle between 3/2-3/23. Some words/ phrases to describe Aries are: “I AM!”, Cardinal/Fire, passionate, head strong, adventurous, honest (often blunt), independent, enthusiastic, dynamic, selfish, courageous, energetic, enthusiastic, and easily bored. It rules over the head, face (not the nose), brain, eyes, upper jaw, fevers & inflammation. The metal is Iron and Stones are: Amethyst, Diamond, and Bloodstone. We are moving away from a time of intuitive receptivity & helping the individual (Pisces) and moving into a time of pioneering, self-starting attitudes (Aries). This will help our mental processes to speed up. Aries is known for being able to start many things, but isn’t great at finishing. Try to exorcise patience (it will be hard). This is a great time to start new projects! People will be straightforward and direct around this time (maybe even a little blunt). This would be a great time to put a fresh spin on an old, outdated method. You may find people being a little too demanding and bossy right now (“take no prisoners”!). We may find ourselves moving a little faster (literally), so careful with speeding and fast moving vehicles. It depends where Mercury/Aries falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Mercury will move into the sign of Taurus on 5/9!

(Tuesday 4/17/12)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3-6pm (I take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

There will only be one Moon transit occurring today. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Later in the morning the Moon in Pisces makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 10:34am EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. This will begin a very long 25+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will end when the Moon transitions into powerful Aries on tomorrow morning!! Since the day will be under the influence of the void-of-course Pisces Moon cycle, it may give this day a slow or dragging quality. Things will pick up tomorrow when the Moon enters Aries…

(Wednesday 4/18/12)- Overnight, the Moon in Pisces will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 4:03am EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short. The Moon transitions into pioneering Aries (exact at 11:59am EST). Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches.

In the afternoon, the Moon will conjunct Mercury both in Aries (exact at 3:28pm EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time. This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions. Next, the Moon in Aries makes an annoying quincunx to Mars (R) in Virgo (exact at 7:33pm EST). Did you ever meet someone that says something that is completely different than how they actually act? For instance: you went out on a date, the person says that they had a fantastic time, and then they never called you? This type of disconnect (coming from yourself or coming from others) may be more pronounced around this time. Lastly, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Aries (exact at 11:45pm EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Aries’ influence it can also assist with a pioneering spirit and breaking out of your rut. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams.

(Thursday 4/19/12)- The Moon in Libra will square intense Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 6:57am EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours. Then, Mercury in Aries forms a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Jupiter in Taurus (exact at 9:44am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Too much information (TMI)! This is a time where we could find others (or even ourselves) saying too much. If you ever had interests in other cultures, religions, law, marketing, publishing, and/or travel; it would be a great time to explore these subjects. Use caution with overconfidence and avoid embellishment of the facts. The upside is that we could be feeling fairly optimistic and will have a bright mental outlook.

Happy Birthday Taurus!! The Sun moves into earthy Taurus (exact at 12:12pm EST). Words and phrases to describe Taurus are: “I Have!”, Fixed/Earthy, reliability, stubbornness, possessions, determination, slow and steady progress, possessiveness, (sometimes) laziness but usually hard-working, pleasure, tactile, good/rich food, aesthetics, physical, sensual, and prosperous. Its physical associations are the ears, throat, lower jaw, neck, and thyroid gland. The metal is Copper. Stones: Emerald, Sapphire, Amber, Rose Quartz, Turquoise, and Azurite. We are moving away from a time of bold, impetuous behavior (Aries) and moving into a time where we will be more thorough and steady (Taurus). Over the next month we should be concentrating on spending time finishing all of the projects that we started when the Sun was in Aries. The ruling planet of Taurus is Venus and is associated with beauty and luxury. Taurus’ tend to work hard and play hard. This sign is associated with rich food, luscious fabrics, and comfortable lifestyles. Yes, Taurus’ have a need to look good, but aren’t ones to wear itchy sweaters or tight shoes…they need to feel good too! Taurus is also associated with wealth and material possessions. Not that all Taurus’ are wealthy, but they usually have a good degree of knowing how to budget and to stretch the dollar. Now is a good time to get your finances in order and to determine what possessions you value. You know the rule, if you haven’t touched it in one year; it’s time to donate it to the Good Will! I can’t write about Taurus and not mention the notorious trait that this sign has…stubbornness! Over the next month try to avoid opposition, “just because”. Make sure you pick and choose your battles. Discern what is important to you and let go of the rest. Some famous Taurus are: George Clooney, Jay Leno, Renee Zellweger, Salvador Dali, Stevie Wonder, Carol Burnett, Florence Nightingale, Billy Joel, Shirley MacLaine, Al Pacino, Willie Nelson, Stevie Wonder, Bono, Cher, James Brown, Sigmund Freud, Pierce Brosnan, Debra Winger, Robert Browning, David Beckham, Chow Yun-Fat, Jack Nicholson, Daniel Day-Lewis, William Shakespeare, Janet Jackson, Jerry Seinfeld, Uma Thurman, Katherine Hepburn, Kelly Clarkson, Dennis Rodman, Cate Blanchett, George Lucas. Barbra Streisand, Fred Astaire, Pope John Paul II, and Charles Mingus. The Sun will remain in Taurus until May 20th when it will transition into Gemini. Next, the Moon in Aries will form a (minor, yet pleasant) sextile with Venus in Gemini (exact at 2:40pm EST). It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress. It will be easy to interact with others. This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances.

(Friday 4/20/12)- The astrological day starts in the afternoon when the Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:35pm EST). Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility. This will be the beginning of a long 8+ hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will end in the tomorrow just after midnight when the Moon transitions into practical Taurus. Next, Mercury in Aries forms an annoying quincunx with Mars in Virgo (exact at 6:15pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Think before you speak! This may cause us to feel restless and fidgety (attention those with ADD or ADHD). Our thoughts may be moving at a fast pace, but it’s best to look before you leap!

(Saturday 4/21/12)- Next, the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 12:05am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 days. A few hours later the height of the New Moon will occur in the sign of Taurus (exact at 3:18am EST). The New Moon is considered to be highly auspicious times for starting new things, new ideas, new projects, and manifesting. All of Taurus Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified. I personally, like to do space clearing and meditating around this time. The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Taurus). This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones. It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit. Just use caution however, because there may be so much energy that we could encounter stubbornness or possibly greed. It depends on where the Moon/Sun/Taurus are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Then, the Moon in Taurus forms a positive sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact at 5:24am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. Next, the Moon in Taurus forms a flowing trine with Mars in Virgo (exact at 8:12am EST). Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy. People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right.

In the evening, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 7:25pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

Stay tuned for next week when there will be more exciting astrological energy!!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional intuitive astrological reading. I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype. Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……

Astro-Updates! Sun Highlights Saturn/Pluto Square! Week of 3/21/10

Hope this Blog entry finds you well! On Sunday, the Sun will trine Mars helping to give us some extra energy. Just after though, the Sun will oppose Saturn possibly causing issues with discipline and stability. The Sun will continue to highlight the Saturn/Pluto square, when it squares Pluto on Thursday. This can bring up some intense emotions. On Monday, Mars will sextile Saturn. This will be a great time to get things done and accomplish goals…so go for it! Tuesday may be a bit trying and fuzzy due to several stressful Moon transits and the Mercury/Neptune association. Friday should be positive and mellow. Have a great week!!

Saturn in Libra 1/13/10-5/30/10

Coming up: Pluto goes Retrograde 4/8 & Mercury 4/19

I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two(or longer). The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 3/21/10)- Today will be a bit confusing. There will be plenty of energy available to us, but there will also be blocks in our path. It is like when you shake a soda and then trying to put a cap on it. Frustration! Plan on trying to use some of that energy channeled in a positive way. It would be beneficial to try and pursue some outdoor sports. Early in the morning, the Moon in Gemini will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 6:14am EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children). Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Aries (exact at 10:51am EST). This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat. This transit helps with the flow of communication. It will be easier to express how we feel around this transit.

In the afternoon the Sun in Aires forms a beautiful flowing trine with Mars in Leo (exact at 1:54pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is an excellent time to get things done or start a new project! This is energy, pure and simple. As with any Mars transit, I always advise doing something physical around this time to positively use up some of that energy. Trines usually present opportunity/blessings, so make sure you are ready to act! This could be a positive time to be around children or someone younger than you (or someone young at heart). The key to this transit is action! There will be a strong fire element in play so be sure to light candles, your woodstove, or fireplace to get you motivated (and wearing the color red wouldn’t hurt either). Next, the Sun in Aries will oppose Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 8:37pm EST). This is not a great time to begin something new. It would be better to concentrate on slow and steady progress. (BTW, this is the BEST time of year to see Saturn in the night sky!) Lastly, the Moon in Gemini will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 11:33pm EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time.

(Monday 3/22/10)- In the morning, the Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile with Venus in Aries (exact at 5:54am EST). It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress. It will be easy to interact with others. This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances.

Later in the evening, the Moon in Gemini uncomfortably squares Uranus in Pisces (exact at 8:49pm EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. It is possible to experience issues with technology or mechanical issues. Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a flowing trine to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 9:49pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. (I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time). This will begin a 4+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into domestic Cancer early tomorrow morning. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays. Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a flowing trine with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 11:41pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! Lastly, Mars in Leo will positively sextile Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 11:53pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Sextiles are usually associated with opportunity, but may take some effort to have it come to fruition. Mars wants to go, go, go and Saturn’s approach is slow & steady. Mars will give us the energy, but be prepared to be in it for the long haul. Try to be patient and take your time with handling the details; it will be worth the effort! Put your energy towards planning, family/domestic pursuits, finances, organization and goal setting. This is a good time to get things done!

(Tuesday 3/23/10)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 2-5pm (I take my last reading at 5pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is #802-660-8060.

The Moon will transition into Cancer (exact at 2:16am EST). Good Cancer Moon activities are: anything to do with home and family, cooking, maternal/mothering, being emotional, crafts, sensitivity, empathy, finances, savings, and care-taking. Things to avoid are: holding grudges, feeling slighted (possibly with little or no cause), over sensitivity, emotional eating, stubbornness, and being grumpy. All of these themes will be highlighted over the next 2 ½ days. In the morning, the Moon in Cancer will form an uncomfortable square with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 4:20am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It is best to work on organization around this time. Then, the Sun in Aries will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Cancer (exact at 7:00am EST). So, toward the early morning we may experience some tension between friends or loved ones. This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported. Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles. Next, the Moon in Cancer will form its monthly opposition to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 11:38am EST). This can signify a (short) period of intensity. Someone could challenge you in an area where you are sensitive. Another possibility is that you may spend too much time analyzing instead of acting. Avoid underhanded tactics because someone will be more apt to notice.

Later, Mercury in Aries forms an uncomfortable sesquisquare with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 6:07pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Be careful (especially) with business dealings around this transit. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is! Review all fine print closely and if possible put off signing any contracts. We will want to idealize people/situations around this time. On the positive side: creativity, intuition, and imagination could be increased too.

(Wednesday 3/24/10)- Just after midnight, the Moon in Cancer forms an uncomfortable square with Mercury in Aries (exact at 12:55am EST) possibly causing miscommunications. You may find that you are not able to express yourself as easily or someone may cut you off from saying something. Next, the Moon in Cancer makes a flowing trine with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 5:03am EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with groups of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. Then, Mercury in Aries will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with the “Wounded Healer” Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 7:34am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Past memories may come flooding in around this time. Forgiveness (or the need to forgive) often accompanies this transit. This can increase sensitivity, so please choose your words carefully.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Cancer will square Venus in Aries (exact at 3:14pm EST). Although we will have a drive to be with others around this time, it would be best to avoid heavy conversations pertaining to love. Sometimes the object of our affections is just out of reach (or otherwise detained) around this transit. The is not a good time to go shopping or work on beautification because what we think looks good now may seem like a bad idea later!

(Thursday 3/25/10)- I will be doing Astrology Readings at Candles & Creations today between 3:30pm-5:30pm (I will take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount. They are located at 150 Dorset St, Suite 301 South Burlington, VT (in the Blue Mall across from the University Mall). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call #802-660-8021 to ensure a time. Check out their link: http://www.candlesandcreations.net

Then, between 6:30-8:30pm, they will be hosting their monthly Sixth Sensory World Meeting. These meetings are based on the teachings of Sonia Choquette. Come and “play” with your intuition! Her link: http://soniachoquette.com

There will be 1 planetary transit and 7 Moon transits today. Four out of the seven Moon transits will be positive. Try to stay grounded around this time. Don’t forget that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary ones. After midnight, the Moon in Cancer will form a flowing trine with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 12:39am EST) helping us to step up to the plate and do the right thing, even though it may be somewhat unconventional. We could get a sudden revelation in our dream state tonight, so write them down! Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This will start a 5 hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into dramatic Leo. Next, the Moon in Cancer forms an annoying quincunx with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 1:31am EST). Neptune’s influence can cause us to be fuzzy and idealistic. It is therefore, not an ideal time to make bold moves and big decisions. It is possible that we may have trouble accessing our intuition around this time. If sleeping, it would be possible to have prophetic dreams. Then, the Moon in Cancer forms an annoying quincunx with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 3:24am EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. It may be hard to forgive & forget around this time. Remember that forgiveness gives you peace within yourself and is not necessarily for the other person. The Moon will transition into Leo (exact at 5:39am EST). Good activities to do when the Moon is in Leo are: anything to do with performing or theater, seeing a show, dressing up & looking nice, managing, feeling proud, entrepreneurial endeavors, gambling, playing games, routing for the underdog and taking care of children. Things to avoid are being too bossy, acting egotistical, and going over the top. All of these themes will be highlighted over the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon in Leo forms a positive sextile to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:21am EST). Time to tap into our inner discipline, goal setting, organization and attention to details. We may want to make long term plans in our close relationships. We will be able to start the day with lots of energy when the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Leo (exact at 8:15am EST). As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.). This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too). It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result.

In the afternoon, the Sun in Aries will form a beautiful trine to the Moon in Leo (exact at 1:57pm EST). This is beneficial for all kinds of relationships (especially with children) and assists in making us feel loved and supported. This is also an ideal time to be close to pets or nature. Very pleasant indeed! The Moon in Leo will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 2:37pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children). We end the day with an intense transit when the Sun in Aries will form an uncomfortable square with transformative Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 11:45pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Power, power, power…did I say power? This one will draw power struggles to us like a magnet. If someone wants to fight, don’t bite…just walk away. They can’t fight with themselves! I would avoid heavy discussions, confrontations, especially if you know things could get heated. It may be hard to balance relationship and work obligations. There may be a boss (or someone in authority) that is making things difficult right now. Just remember fair play is what is important. There is a way to diplomatically explain things without cutting to the bone.

(Friday 3/26/10)- Much like yesterday, today mostly consists of Lunar transits. We may still be feeling the effects of last night’s Sun/Pluto (tense) transit. Please keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. It starts with the Moon in Leo forming an annoying quincunx Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 8:06am EST). This is a time where you could feel disconnected from the group. Someone could challenge your beliefs around this time. Our optimism or self-confidence may be a little low. This is not a time to rely on luck. Don’t worry, this will be temporary! Then, the Moon in Leo makes a flowing trine to Mercury in Aries (exact at 11:05am EST). This transit will assist us to express how we feel. It will be much easier to speak with friends and loved ones during this time. We may have an urge to be social around this transit and is highly beneficial for all kinds of relationships.

We will end the day on a high note when the Moon in Leo forms a flowing trine with Venus in Aries (exact at 9:36pm EST). You could find your thoughts with friends or loved ones. It is possible to receive a compliment on how you look. Love, beauty, art, creativity, and aesthetics will be favored (and because of this reason, shopping too). Pamper yourself!

(Saturday 3/27/10)- Overnight, the Moon in Leo forms an annoying quincunx with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 2:19am EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An expected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. Then, the Moon in Leo will form its monthly opposition with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 3:04am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time. Especially since this will also enhance escapism (people with drug or alcohol issues will have trouble around this transit). This will start a 4 hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into service-oriented Virgo. Then, the Moon in Leo forms its monthly opposition with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 4:59am EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. It may be hard to forgive & forget around this time. Remember that forgiveness gives you peace within yourself and is not necessarily for the other person. The Moon will transition into detail-oriented Virgo (exact at 6:57am). Good Virgo Moon activities are: organization, being detail-oriented, service to others, health improvement, intellectual pursuits, practicality, research, and really anything that requires precision. Things to avoid are: being overly perfectionistic, excessive worry, analysis paralysis, criticism, and being too caught up in the details that we can’t see the forest through the trees. All of these themes will be prominent in the next 2 1/2 days…

In the afternoon, the Moon in Virgo will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 3:40pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Virgo & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature. Lastly, the Moon in Virgo will form an annoying quincunx with the Sun in Aries (exact at 6:30pm EST). It may be hard to feel supported around this time. Accomplishments may go unrecognized. It is possible to clash with someone younger than yourself (like a parent child relationship).

Mark your calendars! Next Monday (3/29) the Full Moon will occur in the sign of Libra!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
