Hope this entry finds you well! Sunday will be the quietest (and pleasant) astrological day. On Monday the planet Jupiter will go Retrograde. On Wednesday the Sun will aspect 4 planets and will be highlighting the super conjunction between Uranus, Jupiter and Chiron. Thursday (as well as Sunday) should be a pleasant day with almost no negative transits.
I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.
(Sunday 6/14/09)- This will be a rather mild and pleasant day astrologically speaking. The Moon (still in dreamy Pisces) will make a positive sextile with Venus in Taurus (exact at 9:34am EST). Around this time we feel more loved and supported by friends and loved ones. This is a great time for social activities and just enjoying the “good life”. Later the Moon in Pisces will form another positive sextile. This time it will be with the red planet Mars in Taurus (exact at 1:53pm EST). It will be easy to act on our feelings around this time. As with any Mars transit, I advise doing physical activity. Mars is about raw energy, and physical activity is a constructive outlet. So the moon will make transit both the planets of love and sex….enjoy!
(Monday 6/15/09)- Just after midnight, the Moon in Pisces will have its monthly opposition with Saturn in Virgo (exact at 12:21am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short and the height may occur while we are sleeping. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility.
Overnight the planet of Jupiter will turn Retrograde in Aquarius (exact at 3:51am EST). (Retrograde meaning: As all planets orbit around one another, they do so at different rates. Long ago Astronomers/Astrologers believed that the planets seemed to slow down and eventually reverse their orbit. This in fact, is an optical illusion caused by different orbit speeds, when viewed from Earth. This process is called a Retrograde in Astrology. In interpretation it means that the planet is somewhat weakened and the energies are harder to access). Jupiter (the traditional ruler of Sagittarius) rules over luck, optimism, expansiveness, religion (and spirituality), abundance, reversals in fortune, law, long distance/foreign travel, higher education, books, printing, publishing, marketing, horses, and really anything affecting the masses. Jupiter is considered to be the most beneficial planet in a chart. However, it is also associated with over confidence, conceit, mass epidemics, extravagance, and fanaticism. Jupiter goes Retrograde every 9 months for a 4-month duration. It is good during a Retrograde period to go back and heal old wounds or to deal with something in the past. It is not a great time to start something new. This is not considered to be an ideal time to start a new business during Jupiter Retrograde. While your business may help a lot of people, it will be more charity-based (without a lot of profit). If at all possible, delay the opening or have it’s official “Grand Opening” after the Retrograde period is over. This will be a beneficial time to make peace with past friendships (or associations) that need healing. Jupiter’s physical associations are: fat, tumors, pancreas, liver, plaque, cholesterol, hips, thighs, and insulin. You will feel this Retrograde period more strongly if you are (or if you have a lot of these signs in your chart) an: Aquarius, Sagittarius, Leo (by reflex), or if you were born with Jupiter Retrograde in your natal chart. Jupiter will remain Retrograde until 10/13/2009.
The Sun in Gemini will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Pisces (exact at 6:14pm EST). So, toward the evening we may experience some tension between friends or loved ones. This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported. Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles. The Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 9:17pm EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can be highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Pisces’ influence it can also assist healing and healing arts. This will begin a void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until 3:51am EST when the Moon transitions into ambitious Aries. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.
(Tues 6/16/09)- I was feeling “under the weather” and canceled my scheduled time at Spirit Dancer for this week. Will be there next Tuesday!
Just after midnight, Mercury in Gemini will form an annoying quincunx with Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 12:48am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Quincunxes usually will manifest in the form of a block or obstacle. It may be harder to access deeper thoughts around this time. This is actually a better time for superficial activities. Keep things light! Not a good time to do research or to “dig below the surface”.
The Moon transitions into adventurous Aries at 3:51am EST. Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress, especially of you are prone to tension headaches.
We start the morning with Mars in Taurus forming and uncomfortable semisquare with transiting Uranus in Pisces (exact at 6:47am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Time to expect the unexpected! A steady approach is best during this time. The urge to be impulsive will be strong. This can be a great time for innovation and sudden breakthroughs just make sure to think things through before you act. As with any Mars transit physical activity is favored (to assist in positively channeling the extra energy). Those prone to nervous conditions and anxiety may have difficulty around this transit. The Moon will highlight the Mercury/Pluto quincunx again by squaring Pluto (exact at 7:55am EST) and sextiling Mercury (exact at 8:37am EST). These transits are “saying” (again) to keep things light. Superficial is favored…leave the deep conversations for another time.
Much later, we end the day with the Sun in Gemini forming a flowing trine with Chiron (R) (the Wounded Healer) in Aquarius (exact at 11:00pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. The Sun will be positively highlighting the super conjunction between Chiron, Neptune, and Jupiter. See previous Blog entries where I discuss this more in depth. This is a great time to heal past hurts (especially with siblings and friends). We will be feeling positive about the future. Even if you have been feeling down lately, there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
(Wed 6/1709)- We start the day with the Sun in Gemini forming a flowing trine with nebulous Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 6:45am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. All aspects of music, arts, creativity, abstract thought, dreaminess, intuition, escapism, and idealism will be highlighted. This is a good time to follow your gut feelings, as intuition will be high. The Moon will form one transit today. It will be an annoying quincunx with Saturn in Virgo (exact at 8:59am EST). Quincunxes often present an obstacle or delay. It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short. The Sun will form an uncomfortable square with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 10:56am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. In the late morning we may experience some obstacles with communication or receive some unexpected news. It may be difficult to act on this new information. There may also be small glitches with technology or travel. We could experience a block or feel uninspired. It is also possible to have trouble with someone older or in authority around this transit.
Later in the day, Venus in Taurus will form an uncomfortable semisquare with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 7:10pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. It’s possible that an exciting creative person or project suddenly comes into your life creating a little tension. Time to go with the flow! This is a good time to “surprise” you romantic partner with a nice gesture. Lastly the Sun forms a flowing trine with Jupiter (R) in Aquarius (exact at 10:28pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Sunny optimism and confidence surround this transit! This would be a good transit if you were a salesperson (advertising, marketing, publishing, law, etc) because you could easily convince others to buy into your endeavors. This could be one of the best transits, so make the most of it! Work on attracting and manifesting abundance!
(Thursday 6/18/09)- This will be a rather pleasant day. We will still be feeling the positive effects of the Sun/Jupiter trine from last night and all of the Moon transits will be positive. We start with the Moon in Aries forming a positive sextile to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 3:58am EST) increasing our creativity and imagination. If you are awake while this transit is occurring it will highlight/favor: intuition, music (the arts in general), film, spirituality, nature/animals, and abstract thoughts/ideas. Some find it beneficial to be near water during this transit. We have the ability to be more charming when Neptune is smiling upon us. Pay attention to dream that you have during this time. They may provide valuable insights or may be prophetic. The Moon will form a positive sextile to Jupiter (R) in Aquarius (exact at 5:05am EST) highlighting the Sun/Jupiter trine from last night. This will assist us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, horses, and spirituality. The Moon will make another positive sextile, this time to the Sun in Gemini (exact at 5:35am EST) helping us to feel supported by others. It’s nice to receive credit for our hard work! This will start a 5 hour void-of-course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into the sign of stabile Taurus (exact at 10:20am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. This will be the lunar themes over the next 2 days.
Lastly, The Moon in Taurus will make a flowing trine to regenerative Pluto in Capricorn (R) (exact at 2:00pm EST). All aspects of counseling, insight, and deep psychological processes are favored during this time. This would be a beneficial time for business, planning, strategizing, and finances too.
(Friday 6/19/09)- We start the day with the Moon forming it’s monthly conjunctions with both Venus and Mars. This will highlight the actual conjunction between Venus & Mars that will be occurring on Sunday (6/21). Anytime Venus and Mars aspect each other, think about love and passion combined! The Moon will conjunct Venus both in Taurus (exact at 9:00am EST). We will want to experience love on a visceral level. This is a great time to: pamper ourselves, decorate, shop (because we will have an “eye” for things that look good), artistic endeavors, baking/cooking, creativity, and be in the company of loved ones. Sometimes this transit can have us feeling a little indolent, it is actually a favored time for finances. Just after, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Taurus (exact at 10:06am EST). Talk about energy? As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, even passion, etc.). This will help to properly channel the excess energy. Otherwise, arguments and nitpicking could result. Lastly, the Moon will make a flowing trine to Saturn in Virgo (exact at 1:33pm EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is a good time to start a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to help!
(Saturday 6/20/09)- We start the day with a busy morning as the Moon forms a square with the superior conjunction between Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter all in Aquarius (between 6:30am-8:02am EST). It is possible that we will want to hold someone up on a pedestal around this time. We should not make major decisions or judgments based on the information given to us. It may be untrue or have more strings attached than originally bargained for. It is also not an ideal time to make big purchases because we are apt to overspend. Relationships with friends will also be highlighted. In the middle of all that the Moon will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 7:22am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Age ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit.
There will be a 5 hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last between 8:02am-1:00pm EST. Use that time to finish old business and projects. The Moon will transition into the communicative sign of Gemini (exact at 1:00pm EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days……
Lastly, the Moon will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 4:21pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and social time.
I will be getting ready to celebrate Summer Solstice tomorrow (Sunday)!!
The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
