I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 2/21/10)- There will be 1 planetary transit and 7 Moon transits today. Three out of the seven Moon transits will be positive. Try to stay grounded around this time. Don’t forget that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary ones. Early in the morning, the Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 5:07am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. Then, the Moon in Taurus forms an uncomfortable square with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 7:15am) telling us to not believe everything we are told. Illusion, escapism and deception will be prevalent. On the positive side, creativity will be high around this transit. This will begin a 6+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into sociable Gemini. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays. Next, the Moon in Taurus forms an uncomfortable square with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 7:31am EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. If you are sleeping while this occurs, you may dream about the past. It may be possible to run into someone that will tell you how to do something (even if they have never done it themselves….annoying!

In the afternoon, the Moon will transition into the communicative sign of Gemini (exact at 1:47pm EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 5:34pm EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (the energy will need a constructive outlet). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Our feelings will be in alignment with how we act. Make sure to put your actions toward positive pursuits! Next, the Sun in Pisces will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Gemini (exact at 7:42pm EST). So, toward the early evening we may experience some tension between friends or loved ones. This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported. Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles. Just after, the Moon in Gemini will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:48pm EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). This would be a good time to work alone. Yesterday, the Sun formed an uncomfortable quincunx with Mars presenting some obstacles. Unfortunately this theme will continue when the Sun in Pisces forms an annoying quincunx Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 8:56pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. We may find it very hard to get anything accomplished during this time. We may feel rundown and lethargic. It is Sunday night….so try to take it easy! Today will end on a high note when the Moon in Gemini will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 10:39pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children).

(Monday 2/22/10)- Today could be a low-key type of day. However, most of the transits today could be a little trying. Sometimes we learn through adversity. The Moon in Gemini will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 4:39am EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time. Next, Mercury in Aquarius forms a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:28am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will not be a good day for communication or travel. There may be delays or obstacles with both. It is possible to experience solidarity. Stick with the facts if you need to communicate. Don’t try to tackle too many things around this transit. A slow and steady approach is called for. Focus on one thing at a time, otherwise there is a good chance mistakes will be made or it will need to be done over anyway. It may be possible that we are slower than normal in learning something (people with learning disabilities may have trouble around this time).

In the afternoon, the Moon in Gemini will uncomfortably square Venus in Pisces (exact at 3:06pm EST). Although we will have a drive to be with others around this time, it would be best to avoid heavy conversations pertaining to love. Sometimes the object of our affections is just out of reach (or otherwise detained) around this transit. The is not a good time to go shopping or work on beautification because what we think looks good now may seem like a bad idea at a later time.

(Tuesday 2/23/10)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 2-5pm (I take my last reading at 5pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is #802-660-8060.

Afterwards I will be attending the Krishna Das concert at 7:30pm. Krishna has been hailed as the “chant master of American Yoga” by The New York Times, and the “Pavarotti of Kirtan” by Yoga Journal. Tickets are still available at either Spirit Dancer or at Higher Ground: http://www.highergroundmusic.com/calendar/show/3144

Just after midnight, the Moon in Gemini makes a flowing trine to Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 12:18am EST). This transit will assist us to express how we feel. It will be much easier to speak with friends and loved ones during this time. We may have an urge to be social around this transit and is highly beneficial for all kinds of relationships. Then, Mercury in Aquarius will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 7:53am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. It may be harder to access deeper thoughts around this time. This is actually a better time for superficial activities. Keep things light! Not a good time to do research or to “dig below the surface”. Verbal sparring or debates could end in disastrous results because others won’t want to back down. Just go with the flow right now. Next, the Moon in Gemini uncomfortably squares Uranus in Pisces (exact at 10:32am EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. It is possible to experience issues with technology or mechanical issues. The Sun in Pisces will form a positive sextile with intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 11:31am). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is a time where we may want to get deep and explore our subconscious. This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling, cathartic experiences, and exploration of hidden or “taboo” subjects. We may even be feeling passionate & sexy around this time! It will be hard to be superficial. Even though it is the weekend, our business “sense” may be sharp and we may be shrewder with our money.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Gemini will form a flowing trine to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 12:29pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. (I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time). This will begin a 6 hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into emotional Cancer (use this time to finish old business). Just after, the Moon in Gemini will form a flowing trine with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 12:51pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! The Moon will transition into Cancer (exact at 6:29pm EST). Good Cancer Moon activities are: anything to do with home and family, cooking, maternal/mothering, being emotional, crafts, sensitivity, empathy, finances, savings, and care-taking. Things to avoid are: holding grudges, feeling slighted (possibly with little or no cause), over sensitivity, emotional eating, stubbornness, and being grumpy. All of these themes will be highlighted over the next 2 ½ days. Lastly, the Moon in Cancer will form an uncomfortable square with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 11:54pm EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It is better to work on organization around this time.

(Wednesday 2/24/10)- Today should be a very pleasant day other than the Moon/Pluto opposition that occurs overnight! Overnight, the Moon in Cancer will form its monthly opposition to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 2:53am EST). This can signify a (short) period of intensity. Someone could challenge you in an area where you are sensitive. Another possibility is that you may spend too much time analyzing instead of acting. Avoid underhanded tactics because someone will be more apt to notice. Then, the Sun in Pisces will form a beautiful trine to the Moon in Cancer (exact at 4:02am EST). This is beneficial for all kinds of relationships (especially with children) and assists in making us feel loved and supported. This is also an ideal time to be close to pets or nature. Very pleasant indeed! Next, the Moon in Cancer makes a flowing trine with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 9:20am EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with groups of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.

In the afternoon, Venus in Pisces will form a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Mars (R) in Leo (exact at 12:30pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This transit may bring some tension (especially with love, family, & finances). However, we may have a drive to be social around this time. We will want to act on our feelings around this time. Just make sure you look before you leap. I always advise doing some sort of physical activity whenever Mars is involved because Mars’ energy will want to get out one way or another. This is also a good time to look within and find your “heart’s desire” whether that be a person, vocation, hobby or otherwise. Sometimes this will bring up sexual tension. Hmmmmm?!? We end the day on another high note when, the Moon in Cancer forms a flowing trine with Venus in Pisces (exact at 11:06pm EST). You could find your thoughts with friends or loved ones. It is possible to receive a compliment on how you look. Love, beauty, art, creativity, and aesthetics will be favored (and because of this reason, shopping too). Pamper yourself!

(Thursday 2/25/10)- I will be doing Astrology Readings at Candles & Creations today between 3:30pm-5:30pm (I will take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount. They are located at 150 Dorset St, Suite 301 South Burlington, VT (in the Blue Mall across from the University Mall). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call #802-660-8021 to ensure a time. Check out their link: http://www.candlesandcreations.net

Then, between 6:30-8:30pm (*note the time change), they will be hosting their monthly Sixth Sensory World Meeting. These meetings are based on the teachings of Sonia Choquette. Come and “play” with your intuition! Her link: http://soniachoquette.com

Today mostly consists of Lunar transits. Please keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. In the morning, the Moon in Cancer will form an annoying quincunx to Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 9:17am EST) possibly causing blocks in communication. It may be nearly impossible to express ourselves. You ever had a time that you couldn’t put your thoughts into words?

In the afternoon, the Moon in Cancer will form a flowing trine with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 12:48pm EST) helping us to step up to the plate and do the right thing, even though it may be somewhat unconventional. We could get a sudden revelation in our dream state tonight, so write them down! Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This will start a 7+ hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into dramatic Leo. Next, the Moon in Cancer forms an annoying quincunx with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 2:35pm EST). Neptune’s influence can cause us to be fuzzy and idealistic. It is therefore, not an ideal time to make bold moves and big decisions. It is possible that we may have trouble accessing our intuition around this time. Then, the Moon in Cancer forms an annoying quincunx with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 3:03pm EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. It may be hard to forgive & forget around this time. Remember that forgiveness gives you peace within yourself and is not necessarily for the other person. The Moon will transition into Leo (exact at 8:08pm EST). Good activities to do when the Moon is in Leo are: anything to do with performing or theater, seeing a show, dressing up & looking nice, managing, feeling proud, entrepreneurial endeavors, gambling, playing games, routing for the underdog and taking care of children. Things to avoid are being too bossy, acting egotistical, and going over the top. All of these themes will be highlighted over the next 2 ½ days. Lastly, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars (R) both in Leo (exact at 10:14pm EST). As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.). This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too). It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result.

(Friday 2/26/10)- Much like yesterday, today mostly consists of Lunar transits. Please keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. It starts with the Moon in Leo forming a positive sextile to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 1:04am EST). Time to tap into our inner discipline, goal setting, organization and attention to details. We may want to make long term plans in our close relationships. Then there will be 3 Quincunxes…keep in mind that Quincunxes usually present in the form of obstacles or delays. The Moon in Leo will make an annoying quincunx with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 4:12am EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. It is best to keep things a little superficial. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time (especially if you have children). If you are sleeping while this event occurs, you could have some intense dreams. Then, the Moon in Cancer will form an annoying quincunx with the Sun in Aquarius (exact at 8:45am EST). It may be hard to feel supported around this time. Accomplishments may go unrecognized. It is possible to clash with someone younger than yourself (like a parent child relationship). Allow extra time for your morning commute. Lastly, the Moon in Leo will quincunx Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 11:04am EST). This is a time where you could feel disconnected from the group. Someone could challenge your beliefs around this time. Our optimism or self-confidence may be a little low. This is not a time to rely on luck. Don’t worry, this will be temporary! The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the Leo Moon. Intensity will be building as we approach the Full Moon….

(Saturday 2/27/10)- Overnight, the Moon in Leo will form an annoying quincunx with Venus in Pisces (exact at 3:49am EST) possibly causing a monkey wrench in the love department. It could be that the object of our affections is somewhat inaccessible around time…. unfortunately the same could be true with our finances too! Double-check your bank account before making a big purchase. Then, Mercury forms a powerful conjunction with Neptune both in Aquarius (exact at 9:03am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will be positive for anything creative, writing, imagination, music, abstract thought (& teaching it to others), philosophy, helping others, charity, prophetic dreams, intuition, etc. This is a great time to present those ideas to the world. You will be able to get others to really see your visions. We may also be too caught up in our own imagination (just floating around like a cloud) to really be able to get anywhere today. We may feel a little mentally fuzzy, but our intuition will be high. This is not a favorable time to sign contracts or make a big decision. This would be a great time to relax and enjoy a good film or listen to music and just get lost in our thoughts.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Leo forms an annoying quincunx with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 12:54pm EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. The Mercury/Neptune conjunction will be highlighted again when the Moon get involved brining our emotions into the mix. The Moon in Leo will form its monthly opposition with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 2:35pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. I wouldn’t make a big decision around this time. Especially since this will also enhance escapism (people with drug or alcohol issues will have trouble around this transit). Then, the Moon in Leo makes its monthly opposition with Mercury in Aquarius (exact at 3:15pm EST). You may find that you are not able to express yourself as easily or someone may cut you off from saying something. It will be hard to put your thoughts into words. This is a time where someone may oppose your thoughts or feelings. The key is to integrate the two (thoughts & emotions), although it may not be easy. This will start a 4+ hour long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into Virgo (exact at 7:52pm EST). Words and phrases to describe the Virgo Moon are: “I Analyze!”, Mutable/Earth, detail oriented, perfection, service, criticism, conscientious, health, intelligent, analytical, worry, improvement to others lives, and practical.

Mark your calendars! Full Moon tomorrow (Sunday 2/28) in Virgo.

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
