I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 3/14/10)- Daylight Savings Time exact at 2am EST! Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead…

Then, the Sun conjuncts Mercury both in Pisces (exact at 9:16am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will be beneficial for communication, writing, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. This may be a time of social activities and invitations to parties/events. Take advantage of harnessing this time of mental clarity and use it to your advantage! This will be helpful in improving relationships with siblings, teachers, or with someone younger than yourself. With Pisces’ influence also take this take to concentrate on artistic or creative endeavors.

We end the day on a positive note when the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Jupiter both in Pisces (exact at 5:17pm EST) assisting us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, publishing, advertising, sales, horses, and spirituality.

(Monday 3/15/10)- We may actually feel like we are literally buzzing today! Lots of planetary energy…sorry, the kids may be hyper around this time. The astrological day starts later when the New Moon will be at its height in the sign of Pisces (exact at 5:01pm EST). All of Pisces Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified. The New Moon is considered to be beneficial for new ideas, new projects, and manifesting. I personally like to do space clearing and meditating around this time. The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Pisces). This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones. It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit. It depends on where the Moon/Sun/Pisces are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Talk about energy? Things will go to another level when Mercury conjuncts Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 5:40pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. We will start feeling this from Sun until Tues. Make sure you write down ideas at this time, as information may come with lightening speed! This is an excellent time to talk with a mentor or receive a “lesson” from a teacher (it doesn’t have to be in a formal scholastic setting). Ideas, mental processes, writing, information, inventions, New Age ideologies, engineering, mathematics, and technology (especially computers) are all favored. For folks that are prone to: anxiety, nervousness, palpitations, seizures (or really any condition that affects the electrical system of the body), this transit and exacerbate those tendencies. So, work on grounding yourself! This theme will be continued when the Moon highlights the Mercury/Uranus conjunction. The Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 7:38pm EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Pisces’ influence it can also assist healing and healing arts. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams. The Moon will conjunct Mercury both in Aquarius (exact at 8:01pm EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time. This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions. This will start a 6+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon will transitions into pioneering Aries. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

(Tuesday 3/16/10)- I will not be Spirit Dancer today. This event has been canceled this week.

This is day will mainly consist of Moon transits. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Overnight, the Moon transitions into Aries (exact at 2:32am EST). Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches. Just after, the Moon in Aries forms a flowing trine with Mars in Leo (exact at 3:29am EST). Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy (which can be tricky if you are trying to sleep). People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right. Next, the Moon will highlight the Saturn/Pluto square. The Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 5:55am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short and the height may occur while we are sleeping. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 4:20pm EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours.

(Wednesday 3/17/10)- Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This will be a very (astrologically) active day. Unlike many other days, there will be more Planetary transits than Moon transits. The effects of these transits tend to last longer. I am reporting the times when they are at their heights, but their effects be felt before and after that time (sometimes for several days). We start with the only Moon transit of the day when the Moon will conjunct Venus both in Aries (exact at 2:08am EST). We will want to experience love on a visceral level. This is a great time to: pamper ourselves, decorate, shop (because we will have an “eye” for things that look good), artistic endeavors, creativity, and be in the company of loved ones. Sometimes this transit can have us feeling a little indolent. It is actually a favored time for finances. Then, the Sun will conjunct Uranus in Pisces (exact at 2:50am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. We will feel the need to break out of our normal routines and do something different toady. Uranus is the planet of disruptions, surprises and unexpected events. We may be drawn to the avant-garde or unusual around this time. Are you normally a rebel and buck against authority? This transit helps to make that easier; so that you won’t step on as many toes. If not, do something “crazy” that you normally wouldn’t do for yourself…..you have blessings from the planets! Next, Venus in Aries will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 5:39am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Idealism, love, & escapism all rolled up into one big rose-colored package! It is possible to meet charming people (or to be charming ourselves) around this time so, wait until another day before serious declarations of love or before signing on the dotted line! Creativity, music, art, films, etc. will be favored. It is possible this could make us a little dreamy, sleepy, or fuzzy around this time.

In the afternoon, Mercury (the God of Communication & Transportation) will move into the sign of Aries (exact at 12:12pm EST). Some words/ phrases to describe Aries are: “I AM!”, Cardinal/Fire, passionate, head strong, adventurous, honest (often blunt), independent, enthusiastic, dynamic, selfish, courageous, energetic, enthusiastic, and easily bored. It rules over the head, face (not the nose), brain, eyes, upper jaw, fevers & inflammation. The metal is Iron. Stones: Amethyst, Diamond, and Bloodstone. Mercury is moving at a fairly good clip right now and will only be in this adventurous sign for the next two+ weeks (until 4/2). This will help our mental processes to speed up. Aries is known for being able to start many things, but isn’t great at finishing. Try to exorcise patience (it will be hard). This is a great time to start new projects! You may find people being a little too demanding and bossy right now. We may find ourselves moving a little faster (literally), so careful with speeding and fast moving vehicles. It depends where Mercury/Aries falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Mercury will move into stable Taurus on 4/2/10. Speaking of feeling peppy; Mercury in Aries will form a positive trine with Mars in Leo (exact at 7:33pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This transit will be beneficial for mental agility, technical skills, hand/eye coordination, quickness, fast-talking, debating, and even possibly speeding…don’t get a ticket! This is a good time to put your thoughts into action! This will give us pep in our step! Lastly, Venus in Aries will form an uncomfortable semisquare with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 11:44pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This could bring up past pains & past loves. Use this time to heal old relationship wounds.

(Thursday 3/18/10)- This is day will mainly consist of Moon transits, except for one planetary transit. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Things may get a little uncomfortable when Mercury touches on the Saturn/Pluto square. Use extra caution while traveling during this time. We may hear of terrorist activity and/or accidents (like a plane crash or train derailment). On a personal level, communication may get strained. It starts when Mercury in Aries forms its yearly opposition with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 7:04am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will not be a good time for communication or travel. There may be delays or obstacles with both. It is possible to experience solidarity. Stick with the facts if you need to communicate. Don’t try to tackle too many things around this transit. A slow and steady approach is called for. Focus on one thing at a time, otherwise there is a good chance mistakes will be made or it will need to be done over anyway. It may be possible that we are slower than normal in learning something (people with learning disabilities may have trouble around this time). It’s possible someone in authority could squash your ideas, hinder you from expressing yourself, or needs to get the last word. Go ahead and let them, choose another day to win that battle. Just after, the Moon in Aries forming a positive sextile to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 7:23am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. (This will hopefully soften the effects of the previous transit). This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. This will start a 5+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until tomorrow when the Moon transitions into stabile Taurus. Then, the Moon in Aries forms a positive sextile with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 10:48am EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound!

In the afternoon, the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 12:29pm EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 & 1/2 days. Then, the Moon in Taurus will form an uncomfortable square with Mars in Leo (exact at 1:47pm EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (gardening, housework, working on the car, etc. all count!). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Did you ever have a moment where circumstances seem like they are conspiring against you? Often, this transit results in a culmination of things that can be annoying. Sometimes small irritations or quarrels can result. We will end the day with the Moon highlighting the Saturn/Pluto square. The Moon in Taurus will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:25pm EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short… Next, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 10:34pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

(Friday 3/19/10)- There will be one lovely Moon transit today (which is good after the tension we may have encountered yesterday). The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the Taurus Moon. In the afternoon, the Moon in Taurus makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 3:36pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.

(Saturday 3/20/10)- Happy Spring Equinox, Happy International Astrology Day and Happy Birthday Aries! There will be lots of planetary energy today!

In the morning, Mercury in Aries will form an uncomfortable square with intense Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 4:16am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. It may be harder to access deeper thoughts around this time. This is actually a better time for superficial activities. Keep things light! Not a good time to do research or to “dig below the surface”. Another scenario is that outside influences could affect you and you may need to change how you think about a situation. Adjustment (on your part) may be needed to come out on the winning end. Verbal sparring or debates could end in disastrous results. Others won’t want to back down right now. Just go with the flow right now.

The Spring Equinox officially starts when the Sun travels into the 1st sign of the zodiac, Aries (exact at 1:32pm EST). Many cultures and religions celebrate the spring equinox in a variety of different ways. The key word for this time of year is BALANCE! It’s interesting to me that we instinctively start to spring clean during this time. Using some principles of feng shui, this is an excellent to time remove dead energy from your space. This includes: cleaning closets, getting rid of clutter, making sure that corners are free from debris, and getting rid of dead & dried flowers. Treat yourself to some fresh flowers, bulbs and seeds. This is a great time to start clearing leaves & branches from your garden or yard. Burn red or white candles in your home (Aries colors). Use fragrances like: lavender, lilac, lily of the valley, geranium, ginger and honey suckle. When preparing meals concentrate on fresh vegetables, leafy greens, seeds, and sprouts. The Chinese consider the rabbit to represent the spring equinox, fertility, and the beginning of a new life cycle. Adding a small rabbit figurine to an area of your house (like bedroom if you want to get pregnant, or a home office if you would like to bring change to your business, etc) would be beneficial. Lastly, I usually have a smudging ceremony (by burning white sage) in my home, where I open all the doors and windows and I send out prayers to humanity. All of these things will increase your energy and help to clear mental “clutter”. Happy Spring!

So getting back to Aries…This is a pioneering sign and is associated with courageous spirits and new beginnings. Aries people are great at starting things but not so good at finishing nor taking care of small details. We are moving away from the past month spent being lost in watery emotions (Pisces) and are entering a time that will be faced with straight forward honesty. You see, an Aries will tell you like they see it…whether you like that or not. Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac and is ruled by Mars (the God of War). If you have been reading my Blog, you will know that Mars energy needs to get out one way or another. This may be why Aries tend to be athletic and have trouble sitting still. I won’t sugar coat this; a bored or unhappy Aries can be quite grumpy. They are known for their quick tempers. If you reference the list of famous Aries below; there are some difficult personalities. One of the worst dictators in history was an Aries, Adolph Hitler (who I wouldn’t dignify by adding him under my “famous” category). On the positive side over the next month, we may be more: adventurous, competitive, gallant, physical, and daring. Much like Leo, an Aries hates to see someone or something (that they consider to be weaker than themselves) get hurt. Often Aries will rush in and try to “save” the situation by being the hero or heroine. They are natural leaders and when they handle that responsibility with pride and grace (not dictatorship) they can really accomplish something positive. It depends where the Sun/Aries falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. There are now 3 planets in Aries: the Sun, Mercury and Venus. Some famous Aries are: Linda Goodman (famous Astrologer), Betty Davis, Alec Baldwin, Eddie Murphy, Mariah Carey, Jackie Chan, Russell Crowe, Shannen Doherty, Rosie O’Donnell, Robert Downey Jr., Joan Crawford, Tom Clancy, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Thomas Jefferson, Ashley Judd, Lucy Lawless, Elton John, Conan O'Brien, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, William Shatner, Robin Wright Penn, Gary Oldman, Gloria Steinem, Hugh Hefner, Vincent Van Gogh, Kate Husdon, David Letterman, Christopher Walken, Quentin Tarantino, Norah Jones, Maya Angelou, Leonardo DaVinci, and Billie Holiday.

In the afternoon, Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 2:33pm EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. Then the Moon in Taurus forms an uncomfortable square with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 3:41pm) telling us to not believe everything we are told. Illusion, escapism and deception will be prevalent. On the positive side, creativity will be high around this transit. This will start a 5+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until tomorrow when the Moon transitions into chatty Gemini. Next, the Moon in Taurus forms an uncomfortable square with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 5:31pm EST). Past issues may resurface at this time. If you are sleeping while this occurs, you may dream about the past. It may be possible to run into someone that will tell you how to do something (even if they have never done it themselves….annoying! Then, the Moon will transition into the communicative sign of Gemini (exact at 8:28pm EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days…… Things will get much better when the Moon in Gemini positively sextiles the Sun in Aries (exact at 9:02pm EST). This is an ideal time to be with friends & loved ones. This transit is conducive for feeling supported. Maybe it’s time to do something nice for your sweetheart? Then, the Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile with Mars in Leo (exact at 10:10pm EST). As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (the energy will need a constructive outlet). Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit. Our feelings will be in alignment with how we act. Make sure to put your actions toward positive pursuits! Lastly, the Moon in Gemini will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 10:57pm EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
