I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.
(Sunday 1/2/11)- Today will consist of mainly Moon transits and 1 planetary transit. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Both the Sun and the Moon will highlight Neptune today giving us a dreamy or ethereal mood. A good day to watch a movie!
Overnight, the Moon in Sagittarius will form a positive sextile to Saturn in Libra (exact at 2:21am EST). Time to tap into our inner discipline, goal setting, organization and attention to details. We may want to make long term plans in our close relationships. Then, the Sun in Capricorn will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with nebulous Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 8:06am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Dreaming and daydreaming of the good old days? This one could zap some of our energy. We could feel fuzzy and have trouble focusing. Best to relax Next, the Moon will conjunct Mercury both in Sagittarius (exact at 9:02am EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time. This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions. or focus on creative endeavors!
Later, the Moon in Sagittarius forms a positive sextile to Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 8:45pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? Just after, the Moon in Sagittarius will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 8:49pm EST). Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time. It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good. Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time. Next, the Moon in Sagittarius uncomfortably squares Uranus in Pisces (exact at 9:08pm EST). This is a time where someone around you may challenge tradition. You may also want to buck the system. An unexpected event or surprise could catch you off-guard. It is possible to experience issues with technology or mechanical issues. This will also be the beginning of a 5+ hour void of course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into practical Capricorn tomorrow… When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays. Lastly, the Moon in Sagittarius forms a (minor) positive sextile with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 10:29pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound!
(Monday 1/3/11)- Today will consist of only 1 Moon transit. Don’t be fooled, things are building in intensity for tomorrow big planetary party!!
Overnight, the Moon transitions into practical Capricorn (exact at 2:39am EST). Themes that will be prevalent over the next 2 ½ days are: business endeavors, work, goal setting, drive, public ambition, and tradition. Try to avoid: workaholic tendencies, coldness, and using people for personal gain.
In the afternoon, the Moon will be making its monthly conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 12:42pm EST) adding emotional intensity to the mix. This may help with insights pertaining to business and financial endeavors. Helping to “pick up” on the undercurrent of a situation. This is also beneficial for therapy, cathartic experiences, passion, and ferreting out secrets.
Tonight is the Quadrantid meteor shower, but it will not be visible from the US. It will peak before dawn on January 4….
(Tuesday 1/4/11)- I will not be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today.
Wow, astrological fireworks today!! We have the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse, the height of the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, and 3 Venus transits! I love the fact that Venus is jumping into the fray because she will attribute an extra sweetness on the astrological events. I hate to say this so soon in the year, but this may be one of the most beneficial days of 2011! That is a good thing, considering that this past fall/early winter of 2010 was a bit tough. Manifest, manifest, manifest!! Write down your goals, make that vision board, make a “wish-list” and sleep with it under your pillow, etc. Even if that is not your thing, at least talk about your goals with a trusted (positive) friend or family member. It all helps to send it out to the Universe!
Overnight, Venus in Scorpio will form an uncomfortable square with Neptune in Aquarius (exact at 3:27am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Idealism, love, & escapism all rolled up into one big rose-colored package! It is possible to meet charming people (or to be charming ourselves) around this time so, wait until another day before serious declarations of love or before signing on the dotted line (hopefully you have the day off)! Creativity, music, art, films, etc. will be favored. It is possible this could make us a little dreamy, sleepy, or fuzzy around this time. People with drug or alcohol issues could experience some issues.
Just after, the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse will be at its height in the sign of Capricorn (exact at 4:03am EST). All of the Capricorn Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified. 
The New Moon is considered to be beneficial for new ideas, new projects, and manifesting. I personally like to do space clearing and meditating around this time. The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Capricorn). This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones. It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit. Then, to give this New Moon some extra zing, there will also be a Partial Solar Eclipse. Unfortunately, this will not be visible in the USA; however it is still felt on an astrological level. It depends on where the Moon/Sun/Capricorn are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level.
Then, Jupiter will conjunct Uranus both in Pisces (exact at 7:53am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit (possibly a couple of weeks). This one has been creating quite the buzz because this event only happens approximately every 14 years! Although it is not an entirely unusual event, it is a very rare occurrence in the sign of Pisces. The last time it occurred in Pisces was 1334!! Because of Retrograde cycles the height of this event has happened three times; 6/8/10 (in Aries), 9/10/10 (in Pisces) and today. Jupiter is optimistic and Uranus is electrifying…some combo? Now is the time to take a risk and do something outside your usual comfort zone. This combination tends to be associated with breakthroughs, inventions, and technological advances. Some major historical events that have been associated with this conjunction are: the 1st walk on the moon, 1st spacecraft on Mars, 1st internet transmission, and the 1st cloning of an animal. Time to dream big and think big!! The only caveat is that we may rush in and not double check the fine details. Jupiter could give us over-confidence or bravado. In other words, as long as you use your head…follow your heart! It would be helpful to know where Jupiter/Uranus/Pisces falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level.
(**If you read this Blog regularly, you know that I hardly ever do this, but I think it helps sometimes to have examples of how these transits “play out” in real life. The Jupiter/Uranus conjunctions falls within my 9th house ruling over spirituality, religion, and advanced schooling/adult night schools. Last June I applied to school and financial aid to pursue becoming a certified Life Coach & Hypnotherapist. In Sept I attended that school and learned that through that program I could qualify to become an Ordained Minister! I sent in my application, and received my papers & certification from the International Assembly of Spiritual Healers & Earth Stewarts Congregations in the mail last week!! This transit has been occurring since last June and most of the events that occurred for me fell during the times when the transit came to its height. You see, the planets didn’t cause me to pursue those goals, they simply supported me! Pretty cool huh? **)
The beautiful thing about the Jupiter/Uranis transit is that lovely Venus will also aspect the conjunction. Venus in Scorpio will form a flowing trine with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 8:33am EST). ? If you are single and looking for someone that is different from the usual types, then go out tonight! You might be up for anything that is progressive and new. Strange and unusual artwork or music may catch your attention. If you are in a relationship, take a break from your rut. Do something exciting with your partner! Just after, Venus in Scorpio will form a flowing trine to Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 8:39am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. I was looking forward to this one… This will bring luck/opportunity with both love and finances! This will be beneficial for group gatherings and social events too. If I were a betting woman (which I am), this would be a good time to buy a lottery ticket. (Sorry, but I am not responsible for any losses nor am I condoning gambling-LOL). In fact, speculative ventures & real estate investments are favored. Venus transits also encourage us to: get outside & be close to nature, beauty, music and the arts. Enjoy! Then, the Moon in Capricorn will form an uncomfortable square with Saturn in Libra (exact at 10:00am EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It is better to work on organization around this time.
Lastly, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Capricorn (exact at 6:49pm EST). As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.). This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too). It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result.
(Wednesday 1/5/11)- Most of the astrological transits will take place earlier in the day. People that are Moon-sensitive may have trouble sleeping around this time. The Moon will for 3 magical sextiles re-emphasizing yesterdays planetary transits. In the early morning, Venus in Scorpio will form an uncomfortable Square with Chiron in Aquarius (exact at 4:07am EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This could bring up past pains & past loves. Use this time to heal old wounds. Then, the Moon in Capricorn will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 5:30am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. Just after, the Moon in Capricorn makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Pisces (exact at 5:42am EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing. Next, the Moon in Capricorn will form a positive sextile with Venus in Scorpio (exact at 7:15am EST). It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress. It will be easy to interact with others. This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances. This will also start a 3+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into unique Aquarius… Lastly, the Moon transitions into unique Aquarius (exact at 11:08am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Aquarius are: social endeavors, friendship, technology, humanitarian efforts, politics, inventing, and New Age ideologies. Things to avoid: are getting too caught up in the greater good and masses that you forget the individual & their feelings, and being overly fixed in your own unique way of doing things that you can’t consider someone else’s good ideas.

(Friday 1/7/11)- In the morning Venus will finally move forward after its extended-stay in the sign of Scorpio! Venus (the ruler of love & finances) will transition into adventurous Sagittarius (exact at 7:30am EST). Words and phrases to describe Sagittarius are: “I See!”, Mutable/Fire, traveler, wanderer, freedom, honest, expansive, argumentative, horses, law, philosopher, and generally easy-going. Jupiter is the ruling planet & it’s associated with the hips, thigh, muscles, and sciatic nerve. This is the last planet to leave the sign of Scorpio. Our love life will take on a new sense of adventure during the next 3+ weeks. If you are single, it will be possible to meet someone while you are traveling. Or this person could be foreign or from another culture. Certainly we may be more willing to take risks right now. Including how we choose invest or spend our money. Couples should spend time planning or taking a vacation. Sports and outdoor activities could become another bonding activity. Venus in Sagittarius is often honest to a fault, if not downright blunt. People will be inclined to argue or debate politics, religion, law, or philosophy right now. All of this activity may lack romance, but certainly won’t be boring! This will also start a 6+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces. Then, the Moon forms its monthly conjunction with Chiron both in Aquarius (exact at 5:57pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! Then, the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces (exact at 9:57pm EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Lastly, the Moon in Aquarius will square Venus in Sagittarius (exact at 11:16pm EST). Although we will have a drive to be with others around this time, it would be best to avoid heavy conversations pertaining to love. Sometimes the object of our affections is just out of reach (or otherwise detained) around this transit. The is not a good time to go shopping or work on beautification because what we think looks good now may seem like a bad idea at a later time.
(Saturday 1/8/11)- Today will consist of one Moon transit. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. In the morning, the Moon in Pisces will form a positive sextile with Pluto Capricorn (exact at 9:09am) helping us to connect with what is going on under the surface. If you are awake during this time it would be beneficial for: cathartic experiences, deep conversations, and all forms of counseling are favored during this transit. It may be possible to have intense dreams while you are sleeping.
Mark your calendars! Mercury moves into Capricorn on Thurs 1/13 and Mars moves into Aquarius on Sat 1/15! **Please remember that there are NO RETROGRADE planets right now. This is a very beneficial time for forward progress!!**
