I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.

(Sunday 5/29/11)- In the early morning, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Jupiter both in Aries (exact at 6:28am EST) assisting us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, publishing, advertising, sales, horses, and spirituality. This will also be the beginning of a 2+ hour void of course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into the earthy Taurus Moon tomorrow. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays. Then, the Moon transitions into the earthy Taurus Moon (exact at 9:02am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways. These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 ½ days. Next, the Moon in Taurus forms a positive sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact at 10:52am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming around this transit. Anyone have rose-colored glasses? If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time. Then, Mercury in Taurus will form a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with intense Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 11:43am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. It may be harder to access deeper thoughts around this time. This is actually a better time for superficial activities. Keep things light! Not a good time to do research or to “dig below the surface”. Verbal sparring or debates could end in disastrous results because others won’t want to back down. Just go with the flow right now.

Later in the evening, the Moon in Taurus forms a positive sextile with Chiron (the “Wounded Healer”) in Pisces (exact at 7:51pm EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound! Lastly, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 10:46pm EST). This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences. It will be hard to be superficial around this time. Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

(Monday 5/30/11)- Memorial Day Observed. “Although no sculptured marble should rise to their memory, nor engraved stone bear record of their deeds, yet will their remembrance be as lasting as the land they honored.” ~Daniel Webster

Today will consist of all Moon transits. Please keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. Early, the Moon in Taurus will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 6:05am EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time.

In the afternoon, the Moon will highlight the Mars/Venus conjunction that came to its height last Monday (very pleasant). The Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Taurus (exact at 1:43pm EST). As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.). This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too). It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result. Lastly, the Moon will conjunct Venus both in Taurus (exact at 9:23pm EST). We will want to experience love on a visceral level. This is a great time to: pamper ourselves, decorate, shop (because we will have an “eye” for things that look good), artistic endeavors, creativity, and be in the company of loved ones. Sometimes this transit can have us feeling a little indolent; it is actually a favored time for finances.

(Tuesday 5/31/11)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3-6pm **Please note the time change** (I take my last reading at 5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

The astrological day starts when Venus in Taurus will form an uncomfortable semisquare with Uranus in Aries (exact at 8:25am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Looking for your muse? The inspiration that you have been looking for may come around this time. However, you will most likely experience tension or nervousness instead of feeling comfortable (that is what this transit is about, to push you out of your box). Nervous energy? Time to go with the flow! This is a good time to “surprise” you romantic partner with a nice gesture. Then, Mercury in Taurus forms an uncomfortable sesquisquare with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 10:08am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will not be a good day for communication or travel as there could be delays or obstacles with both. It is possible to experience solidarity. Stick with the facts if you need to communicate. Don’t try to tackle too many things around this transit. A slow and steady approach is called for. Focus on one thing at a time, otherwise there is a good chance mistakes will be made or it will need to be done over anyway. Then the Moon will go onto highlight Mercury again activating this transit and bringing emotions into the mix. The Moon will conjunct Mercury both in Taurus (exact at 11:37am EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others. It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time. This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions. This will start a long 8+ hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into chatty Gemini later tonight…..

In the evening, the Moon transitions into chatty Gemini (exact at 7:56pm EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days. Lastly, the Moon in Gemini forms an uncomfortable square with Neptune in Pisces (exact at 9:43pm) telling us to not believe everything we are told. Illusion, escapism and deception will be prevalent. On the positive side, creativity will be high around this transit. If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time.

(Wednesday 6/1/11)- Overnight, the New Moon in Gemini will form a positive sextile with Uranus in Aries (exact at 3:34am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams. Then, Sun in Gemini will form a flowing trine with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 5:17am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This transit gives us discipline and helps us to tackle projects. If there has been something that you have been avoiding, like an organizational project, now is the time! There is a reason that Saturn’s nickname is the “task master”. This would also be an excellent day to start a diet or other health regime. It will help us to get along better with father figures or male authority figures too.

In the afternoon, the New Moon in Gemini will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 4:08pm EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist!

Just after, the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse will be at its height in the sign of Gemini (exact at 5:03pm EST). All of the Gemini Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified. The New Moon is considered to be a highly auspicious time for starting new things, new ideas, new projects, and manifesting. I personally like to do space clearing and meditating around this time. The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Gemini). This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones. It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit. Just use caution however, because there may be so much energy that we could encounter feeling frazzled and scattered. Then, to give this New Moon some extra zing, there will also be a Partial Solar Eclipse. Unfortunately, this will not be visible in the USA; however it is still felt on an astrological & energetic level. Pay attention to what is going on around you at this time and notice any major changes or patterns. It would be helpful to know where the Moon/Sun/Gemini are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level.

The remainder of the week is currently under construction, please check back!!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person, Skype, or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
