Coming up! Mercury turns Direct in Pisces on 3/17/13 at 4:03pm EST!!

Keep in mind while you read this Blog that I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane.  The effects of a transit are often felt as long as a day or two (or even longer).  The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after.  It’s important to remember that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.  I will no longer be including every transit that occurs, but rather highlighting the most dominant transits (to make the Blog a little easier to read, in response to reader feedback!).

(Sunday 3/10/13)-  Daylight Saving Time at 2am! Spring ahead by 1 hour

Overnight, the Moon will (finally) transition into dreamy Pisces after a very long void-of-course Lunar cycle (exact at 1:19am EST).   Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work.  Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr.  These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days.  Then, the Moon makes its monthly conjunction with Neptune both in Pisces (exact at 8:20am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar.  This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc.  It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit.  Because idealism & escapism can be enhanced with this transit, I wouldn’t make a big decisions or sign contracts around this time.  If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams.

Later in the afternoon, the Moon will conjunct Mercury (R) both in Pisces (exact at 4:33pm EST) assisting with communication, short distance travel and feeling supported by others.  It will be very easy to express feelings and emotions around this time.  This is a great time to write (like journaling) or to express emotions.  Next, the Moon in Pisces will form an uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Gemini (exact at 5:39pm EST).  Someone could challenge your beliefs at this time.  It’s possible that you could find out someone within your group has been acting behind your back or is at odds with the greater good.  Dealings with groups of people or legal matters are unfavorable around this time.  Next, the Moon in Pisces will make a flowing trine to Saturn (R) in Scorpio (exact at 9:46pm EST).  This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined.  This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking).  Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist!  Lastly, the Moon in Pisces will form a positive sextile with Pluto (R) Capricorn (exact at 10:01pm) helping us to connect with what is going on under the surface.  If you were awake during this time it would be beneficial for: cathartic experiences, deep conversations, and all forms of counseling are favored during this transit.  It may be possible to have intense dreams while you are sleeping.

(Monday 3/11/13)-  In the morning, the Moon will conjunct Venus both in Pisces (exact at 7:33am EST).  We will want to experience love on a visceral level.  This is a great time to: pamper ourselves, decorate, shop (because we will have an “eye” for things that look good), artistic endeavors, creativity, and be in the company of loved ones.  Sometimes this transit can have us feeling a little indolent; it is actually a favored time for finances.

In the afternoon, the New Moon will be at its height in the sign of Pisces (exact at 3:51pm EST).  All of Pisces Moon themes will be highlighted/amplified.  The New Moon is considered to be beneficial for new ideas, new projects, and manifesting.  I personally like to do space clearing and meditating around this time.  The New Moon is always accompanied by a conjunction with the Sun (also in Pisces).  This usually makes us feel connected & supported by loved ones.  It’s easier to talk about our emotions during this transit.  It depends on where the Moon/Sun/Pisces are located in your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level.  This will also be the beginning of a long 17+ hour void-of-course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into humanitarian-oriented Aquarius later tomorrow morning.  When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”.  It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

(Tuesday 3/12/13)-  I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3:00-6:00pm (I take my last reading at 5:30pm).  This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome, but it is better to reserve a spot; the store’s number is 802-660-8060.

Overnight, Mars will move into the sign of Aries (exact at 2:26am EST).  Mars is an action-oriented planet and is often associated with physicality, sex drive, who we are sexually attracted to, and ego.  Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac and is ruled by Mars (the God of War).  Some words/ phrases to describe Aries are:  “I AM!”, Cardinal/Fire, passionate, head strong, adventurous, honest (often blunt), independent, enthusiastic, dynamic, selfish, courageous, energetic, enthusiastic, and easily bored.  It rules over the head, face (not the nose), brain, eyes, upper jaw, fevers & inflammation. The metal is Iron and stones are: Amethyst, Diamond, and Bloodstone.  We are moving away from a time of dreaminess and receptive intuition (Pisces) and moving into a time where we will be more active and competitive (Aries). We have potentially felt a little disconnected lately with five planets being in the sign of Pisces.  This will begin to shift as the planets transition into Aries (Uranus is currently residing in this sign).  Mars is the "ruler" of Aries and therefore this is a very comfortable sign for Mars to inhabit.  Get ready for some action! We have been contemplating about what to do and now it's time to act. This is highly beneficial for all forms of competition including sports and physical activities. Over this next month it will be important to watch our tempers because sometimes this can make us a little too aggressive. You may find people being too demanding and bossy right now (“take no prisoners”!).  However, when Aries energy is properly channeled, it can lend itself to the highest form of leadership and initiation. Keep in mind that Mercury is still retrograde in the sign of Pisces until March 17th, so we may have a little bit of a false start here. As the planets begin to drift into Aries we will be revving our engines until Mercury goes Direct. As the psychic atmosphere begins to surge with energy make sure to get outside and exercise to work off some of that excessive drive. I find myself making references to cars because Aries is known for its love of speed and risk!  It depends where Mars/Aries falls within your chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level.  Mars will transition into Taurus on 4/20/2013.  Then, the Moon also transitions into pioneering Aries (exact at 7:17am EST).  Aries Moons are similar to New Moons.  It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action.  Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days.  Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches.

Watch out this evening when the Moon in Aries will form a conjunction with both Mars and Uranus in Aries. This could produce some interesting fireworks!! The Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Aries (exact at 7:35pm EST).  As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.).  This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too).  It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result.  Next, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Aries (exact at 9:06pm EST).  The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling.  This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events.  Due to Aries’ influence it can also assist with a pioneering spirit and breaking out of your rut.  Lastly, the Moon in Aries makes a positive sextile with Jupiter (R) in Gemini (exact at 11:52pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky.  This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people.  It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.

(Wednesday 3/13/13)-  Today will be a quiet astrological day with only two Lunar transits occurring overnight. Keep in mind that Moon transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits.  Overnight, the Moon in Aries will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn (R) in Scorpio (exact at 3:34am EST).  It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized.  It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time.  Luckily, this influence will be short.  The Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 4:02am EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path.  Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin.  It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours.  This will be the start of a long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into stable Taurus tomorrow afternoon. The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the void-of-course Aries Moon….

(Thursday 3/14/13)-  The Astrological day starts when the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 3:08pm EST).  Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort.  Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways.  These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 days.  Lastly, the Moon in Taurus forming a positive sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact at 10:08pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar.  This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc.  It is possible to be more charming around this transit.  Anyone have rose-colored glasses?  If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time.

(Friday 3/15/13)-  the Moon in Libra will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Leo (exact at 2:39am EST).  This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat.  This transit helps with the flow of communication.  It will be easier to express how we feel around this transit.

Lastly, the Moon in Taurus will have its monthly opposition with Saturn in Scorpio (exact at 12:27pm EST).  Luckily the duration of this event is short and the height may occur while we are sleeping.  Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation.  We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve.  It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility.  In the afternoon, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 1:12pm EST).  This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences.  It will be hard to be superficial around this time.  Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.

(Saturday 3/16/13)-  Overnight, the Sun in Pisces will form a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Saturn (R) in Scorpio (exact at 5:51am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  People may be in a more serious mood around this time.  This can be a time of pessimism, feeling “the blues”, or even loneliness.  Try to avoid being overly critical and hard on yourself (or others).  It is also possible to clash with someone older than yourself (especially father figures or someone in authority).  Best to concentrate on: work, organization, BALANCE, joint enterprises, goal setting, and details.

The mood will begin to lighten in the afternoon when the Moon in Taurus will form a positive sextile with Venus in Pisces (exact at 12:35pm EST).  It is likely that we could receive compliments on how we look or dress.  It will be easy to interact with others.  This transit is positive for both relationships/love and finances.  Then, the Moon in Taurus will positively sextile the Sun in Pisces (exact at 7:11pm EST).  This is an ideal time to be with friends & loved ones.  This transit is conducive for feeling supported.  Maybe it’s time to do something nice for your sweetheart?

Mark your calendars! Mercury in Pisces will turn Direct on Sunday (3/17) and the Sun will move into the sign of Aries which also is the Spring Equinox on Wednesday (3/20).

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall.  As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading.  I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, child star, etc).  I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype.  Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart.  Please feel free to contact me for more information!  Have a great week!  Bye for now……
