I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.
(Sun 4/22)- This is a very active astrological day! The Moon (still in stable Taurus) will make contact with 7 planets today. Four out of the seven will be positive. It is almost divided up equally between Cardinal (leadership) and Fixed energies. The dilemma will be knowing when to lead and when to stay put. The Moon will begin a void-of-course cycle between 11:42am-5:01pm. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.
The big event will be when Mars in Aries makes an uncomfortable square with Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 12:14pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This transit will be felt for most of this weekend. So the God of War will be facing off with the God of the Underworld?? This is not a light and fluffy transit! At the very least there will be an increased energy with the transit. However, usually squares present challenges and both of these signs are leaders. Use caution in your dealings with others around this time. The possibility for arguments and heated debates are increased. It would be highly recommended to do something physical to burn off excess energy around this time. (The chances of overdoing it are increased too-so everything in moderation!) We may hear of an increase in violence in the news. Stay away from high crime neighborhoods and don’t take unnecessary risks concerning your safety. This transit can stir up sexually charged feelings but could also lead to obsessing. Although, It is possible to get a lot done during this time. Just watch that you aren’t running over someone else’s plans in the process-you will be sure to hear about it!! The Moon will highlight this transit later in the day (around 10:17pm EST).
Lastly, the Moon will transition in the to communicative sign of Gemini (exact at 5:02pm EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are: communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers), learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness, travel, and reading. Things to avoid are: fickleness, information overload, starting to many things & not being able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days……
(Mon 4/27 )- This is an astrologically quiet day. The Moon will make an annoying square with Saturn (R) in Virgo (exact at 6:11pm EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may felt passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It is better to work on organization at this time.6:30-10:30pm- I have been asked to do mini-readings for the students at Champlain College in Burlington, VT for “Stress Free Week” (the week before finals). I am excited to have this opportunity! Please feel free to contact me if you need an Astrologer for an event!
(4/28)- I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 2-5pm. This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount ($25.00 per ½ hour). They are located at (across from the fire station). Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time.
The Moon will aspect 5 planets today. Firstly the Moon makes a flowing trine with Jupiter in Aquarius (exact at 8:01am EST) helping us start the day optimistically. Then, it forms an uncomfortable square with Uranus in Pisces (exact at 10:28am EST). This may bring a piece of unpleasant news or event. The Moon then forms another flowing time to
Later this evening, the Moon will be highlighting this Saturdays potent square between Venus/Pluto, giving us a small taste of what is to come. It starts by squaring Venus in Aries (exact at 9:07pm EST) possibly causing tension or even an argument with a loved one. We may not feel supported by our loved ones at this time. Then the Moon will make its monthly opposition to powerful Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 11:51pm EST). Certainly this can bring up jealousy issues, power struggles, hidden fears, and obsessions. This transit could cause frustrations on blending work and family time. Keep things light this evening if possible. We will be feeling much more sensitive at this time and we don’t want to say something that we later regret.
Wed (4/29)- Overnight the Moon in Cancer will square Mars in Aries (exact at 3:17am EST). This is another transit that can enhance the need to argue and bicker, that could carry into early morning. Luckily, the cloud will lift when the Moon forms a positive sextile to the Sun in Taurus (exact at 10:16am EST). Sextiles often present opportunities, but will require some work to have it come to fruition. This transit will help us to feel supported by our friends and loved ones. This transit can also be beneficial pertaining to finances! Then, the Moon will sextile Saturn (R) in Virgo (exact at 7:54pm EST) helping us to stay organized, disciplined, and would be a good time to “cut the fat” from your budget (you will be more likely to stick to a plan that is created during this transit). In general, this would be a good day to garden, start home improvements, concentrate on domestic endeavors, create a budget, or cook a home-made meal.
Thurs (4/30)- **I had something come up and will be unable to attend this monthly event.** If you have an interest in playing with your intuition, definitely check it out! 7-9pm-Sixth Sensory World Meeting tonight at Candles & Creations in South Burlington VT. Link: http://candlesandcreations.net/sixth_sensory_world.php?osCsid=15d3900d874c33b2bd69511f34179fcf
This morning the Moon will form an annoying quincunx to Jupiter (exact at 10:33am EST). This is not the time to rely on luck or opportunity, just careful planning. This transit could have us focusing on the negative side of a situation instead of the positive. Then the Moon will form a flowing trine with unique Uranus (exact at 12:45pm EST) helping us to beak away from the status quo. Technology (especially computers, New Aged ideologies, electricity, unexpected events, and non-conforming attitudes will all be highlighted with this transit. Even though we may feel the urge to start a new path, it would not be advised since the Moon will begin a void-of-course cycle that will last until 8:56pm EST.
The big planetary event will be when Mercury (the God of communication & transportation) will transition into its native sign of Gemini. Words and phrases to describe Gemini (Mercury) are: “I Think!”, Mutable/Air, communication, writing, media, talking, duality (the twins), diversified interests, “jack of all trades”, travel, shallowness, witty, quick, intellect, multi-tasker, gossip, designer, nervousness, moodiness and chatty. The body parts it’s associated with are: hands, arms, shoulders, nervous system and lungs. Anyone with air signs in their natal charts (especially) will feel like they are buzzing and may get an extra boost of energy. If you feel a little over stimulated with this shift, try to get grounded in the physical through exercise. We can look forward to lots of communication during the next week. However, Mercury is starting to slow down and will actually be stationary before it starts to go Retrograde on Thurs May 7th! If you have been following my blog, you will know that Mercury Retro is not a good time to start anything new and is much better to complete old business. Mark your calendars! So use this next week to pursue new endeavors.
The Moon will transition into dramatic Leo (exact at 8:56pm EST). Good activities to do when the Moon is in Leo are: anything to do with performing or theater, seeing a show, dressing up & looking nice, managing, feeling proud, entrepreneurial endeavors, gambling, playing games, routing for the underdog and taking care of children. Things to avoid are being too bossy, acting egotistical, and going over the top. These themes will be in play for the next 2 1/2 days. Just after, the Moon will form a positive sextile to Mercury (exact at 9:02pm EST) allowing us to express our feelings comfortably. Others will be receptive to them at this time.
Fri (5/1)- Overnight the Moon in Leo will form a flowing trine to Venus in Aries (exact at 1:00am EST) helping us to continue the receptivity theme from last night. This transit is especially beneficial to personal/love relationships. Speaking of trines, the Moon will form another one with Mars in Aries (exact at 8:43am EST) which will assist us in getting the recognition we deserve. This will help us to put our feelings into action! This is not the time to sit around and plan, this is the time to act! It is best to do this earlier in the day, because later the Moon will form an annoying square with the Sun in Taurus (exact at 4:44pm). Folks will be more inclined to not be as supportive around this time. It is possible that an obstacle or situation that causes annoyance may appear.
Sat (5/2)- The big planetary event of the day/weekend will be when Venus in Aries squares Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 1:10pm EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Just like last Saturdays intense Mars/Pluto square, this can lead to intense feelings and emotions. It may occur on a more personal level however, specifically in the love department. We could find ourselves in (at the very least) an intense situation. There may be a rise in jealousies, obsession/fanatical behavior, secrets, hidden fears, and passions. Obviously, it is not healthy to pine for unrequited love or to fall into old relationship patterns. Both Aires and Capricorns are leaders and no one will want to back down. Venus also secondarily rules over finances and there could be unexpected expenses at this time. Pluto is associated with death & rebirth (Phoenix Rising), so if you do experience any of these issues, they will need to go through some sort of process. Sometimes it can be painful (at that moment) but will usually be for the better in the long run. A straightforward approach is needed, as underhanded tactics won’t be tolerated. At best, it is possible to discover something new about your partner through in-depth discussions (keep in mind that ultimatums will backfire).
The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall. As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading. I now have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, etc). I can do readings in-person or over the phone. Or if you’re not into having a reading I can just supply a chart. Please feel free to contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
