You may have heard a lot about the
Uranus/Pluto square. It will be the most intense on June 24th and
September 19th of 2012. However, this jarring astrological transit
will be in the background throughout all of 2012-2015. The last time Uranus/Pluto formed a troubling
square was in the early 1930s around the time of the Great Depression and when
Hitler was at the height of his power. These are certainly interesting times
that we live in! Please feel free to
watch my astrological video to learn more!

Keep in mind
while you read this Blog that I include the time that a transit will be exact
so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. The effects of a transit are often felt as
long as a day or two (or even longer).
The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to
the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. It’s important to remember that Moon transits
tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits. I will no longer be including every transit
that occurs, but rather highlighting the most dominant transit (to make the
Blog a little easier to read, in response to reader feedback!).
(Sunday 9/2/12)- Overnight, the Moon transitions into pioneering Aries
(exact at 1:37am EST). Aries
Moons are similar to New Moons. It is
considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities
(like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and
action. Things to avoid are being too
bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to
stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches. Use caution today as the Moon in Aries will form
three difficult quincunxes and then we'll go on to highlight the Uranus/Pluto
square. Tensions could run high and there could be blockages and obstacles. We always have to watch our temper when the
Moon is in Aries.
(Monday 9/3/12)- Labor Day Observed!! As you will see, there is a slew of astrological energy today and tomorrow.
Whenever there is this much planetary energy, it is good to work on grounding….
However we may experience a little help from Saturn. Even though Saturn can
present difficulties, it can also provide the necessary grounding to do the
difficult work that lies ahead. Overnight, Venus in Cancer will make an uncomfortable
square with Saturn (R) in Libra (exact at 3:43am EST). Remember, this is a planetary
transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Attaining long-term goals, finances, and
relationships may feel strained around this time. Definitely not a time to rush into things
without tending to all the fine details.
We may feel shy or hindered in expressing love or with our romantic
feelings. Another possibility is that we
may want to put our relationships into a category, but remember that emotions
don’t always need to make sense! Next, Mars
in Scorpio will form a pleasant sextile with Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact at 7:05am
EST). Remember, this is a
planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon
transit. Sextiles are positive and
usually present opportunity, but it will take some effort on your part to have
it come to fruition. If you are goal
oriented and really know yourself well, this could present an awesome opportunity
coming your way. For folks that are
wanderers, directionless, and really don’t know what they want from life, well,
you will have a harder time with this transit.
It is also possible to feel a strong need to change some area of life
(most likely it will pertain to business with the association of
Capricorn). This will also give us
increased energy and possibly sex drive!
All types of physical exercise are encouraged, especially dance, yoga,
ice-skating, & martial arts. Careful
not to over-do it, because this can create a “weekend warrior” type of
syndrome. Then, the Sun in Virgo will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Saturn
(R) in Libra (exact at 10:44am EST).
Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt
much longer than a Moon transit.
People may be in a more serious mood around this time. This can be a time of pessimism, feeling “the
blues”, or even loneliness. Try to avoid
being overly critical and hard on yourself (or others). It is also possible to clash with someone
older than yourself (especially father figures or someone in authority). Best to concentrate on: work, organization,
BALANCE, joint enterprises, goal setting, and details. Just after, Mars in Scorpio will form a beautiful
trine with (the “Wounded Healer”) Chiron (R) in Pisces (exact at 11:13am EST).
Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer
than a Moon transit. This will be
certain to bring up old wounds and memories and our 1st emotion may
be anger. However, Mars provides us with
the tools to act and make things better.
It would be best to face these situations directly (yet with tact) and
just deal with them once and for all.
The rewards will outweigh any uncertainty. Wow, that was a lot of astrological energy before noon! The remainder of the day will be under the
influence of the Aries Moon….
(Tuesday 9/4/12)- I will be doing Astrological
Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3-6pm (I take my last reading at
5:30pm). This is a great opportunity to
get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr. They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in
Burlington, VT (across from the fire station).
Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time. The store’s number is 802-660-8060.
Like I mentioned on yesterday's blog entry, there will be a lot of
planetary energy today. The two planets mostly involved will be Mercury and
Uranus. This will certainly highlight communication and potentially throw some
anxiety into the mix. Of course, sudden revelations are always possible, so be
sure to write down those ideas before they fly right out of your head. It
starts when Mars in Scorpio will form an annoying quincunx with Uranus (R)
in Aries (exact at 1:41am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and
its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Time to expect the unexpected! If you are normally impulsive, then a steady
approach is best during this time. If
you are normally sedate or in a rut, then use innovation to jolt yourself out
of it. This can be a great time for
innovation and sudden breakthroughs but make sure to think things through before
you act. We may encounter someone that
is oddly aggressive or not acting like themselves. I would just ignore their behavior (people
may be a little “off” right now). Those
prone to nervous conditions and anxiety may have difficulty around this transit. At 7:06am
EST will be the beginning of a 4+
hour void-of-course Moon cycle that
will end when the Moon transitions into practical Taurus…. (When the Moon
makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the
next sign, is call “void of course”. It
is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased
chance of working or will have delays.) The Moon
transitions into Taurus (exact at 11:41am EST). Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing
on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing,
sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage,
singing, and comfort. Try to avoid: laziness,
relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your
ways. These will be the lunar themes
over the next 2 days.
In the afternoon,
Mercury in Virgo will form a flowing trine with Pluto (R) in Capricorn (exact
at 12:46pm EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. If you have to give a
speech or a sales pitch to someone right now…well you couldn’t have picked a
better time! Communication skills will
be persuasive & powerful. Hot topics
right now will be sexuality, transformation, psychology, secrets, and
fears. If you are able to face these
subjects with openness and honesty; then real healing could occur. It would be a good time to whisper
sweet-nothings into your partner’s ear.
Use words to arouse passion (the good kind!). Pluto does have a dark side, so watch for
obsessive thinking and jealousies. Next,
Mercury in Virgo will oppose the “Wounded Healer” Chiron (R) in Aquarius
(exact at 1:38pm EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. Past memories may come
flooding in around this time.
Forgiveness (or the need to forgive) often accompanies this
transit….this may be specifically about an old friendship or acquaintances. Lastly,
Mercury in Virgo forms an annoying quincunx to
Uranus (R) in Aries (exact at 6:51pm EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. This will set the stage
for surprising insights and ideas on new ways to do things. It may be perplexing on how to incorporate
these ideas into daily life. However, that
is exactly the lesson that is present in this transit! People with nervous conditions, anxiety,
palpations, etc. may have trouble around this time. In fact, I would use caution with all
stimulants around this time (and that includes sugar)….as we could be feeling
downright jittery without much assistance!
(Wednesday
9/5/12)- Early in the day is more favorable astrologically then
later in the day. Around 2:54 PM there's going to be a start of a long
void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until Friday. During this time it's
not ideal to start anything new. In the morning, Mercury in Virgo will form
a positive sextile with Mars in Scorpio (exact at 4:06am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and
its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Sextiles often present themselves through
opportunity that will require some action on your part to come to
fruition. This transit will be
beneficial for mental agility, technical skills, writing, hand/eye
coordination, quickness, fast-talking, debating, and even possibly
speeding…don’t get a ticket! This is a
good time to put your thoughts into action!
Write out a list…and start crossing things off! This will give us pep in our step. The Moon will then go on to highlight both
Mercury and Mars making this transit even stronger.
In the afternoon,
the Sun in Virgo will form a beautiful trine to the Moon in Taurus (exact at
2:54pm EST). This is
beneficial for all kinds of relationships (especially with children) and
assists in making us feel loved and supported.
This is also an ideal time to be close to pets or nature. Very pleasant indeed! This will be the start of a very long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last
until early Friday morning that will end when the Moon transitions into lively
Gemini…..
(Thursday 9/6/12)- Like I mentioned in yesterday's Blog entry,
the Moon will be void-of-course all day
today. This is not a good time to start a lot of new projects, it is better to
complete old projects and wrap up pending details (sort of like a Mercury
retrograde time.). There is deep work to
be done under the surface when Pluto
(R) in Capricorn forms a positive sextile with Chiron (the Wounded Healer) in
Pisces (exact at 5:25am EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. In fact, we may feel this for a week or more. This
is an auspicious time to do deep, transformational work. Psychology, therapy,
life-coaching, therapeutic hypnosis, shamanism, or any other deep cathartic
experiences are favored. Delve deep into
subconscious or unconscious drives. This is a time to heal old wounds. Are you
suffering from a loss of a loved one, a loss of a job, loss of a pet, or even
an old relationship? If you have been
grieving over the loss of a loved one, this would be a great day to go through
their old clothing/items and discern what is treasured and donate what is no
longer needed. In other words, find a
way to honor the loss which may provide closure so that you can move on. Preserve the positive memories/lessons and
release the pain.
Then, the planet Venus (ruler of love, art,
beauty & finances) will be transitioning into the proud sign of Leo (exact
at 10:48am EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. Over the last month
Venus has been in the sensitive & conservative sign of Cancer. Our expression of love will change
dramatically! Words and phrases to
describe Leo are: “I Will!”, Fixed/Fire,
warm, kind, generous, actor/theater, drama, loyal, domineering, proud,
dignified, egocentric, creative, gambler/speculation, honest, noble, love
children (especially their own), and games.
A lot of “larger than life” people are Leos. It is common for actors and performers to be
Leo or have heavy Leo in their chart (Leo needs recognition). Areas of the body
associated with Leo are the heart, gall bladder, & spine. Stones: Ruby, Onyx, Carnelian, Golden Topaz,
and Tourmaline. Leo’s usually like to
show their love with gifts and bold declarations. We may want to “play” with our partner. Over the next month we may go to shows,
concerts, or other forms of entertainment.
If you are single, this would be a good way to meet new people, so don’t
decline any invitations. Children (or
pets that we consider our children) may be on our mind more during this
time. It would be a great time to pursue
a career or charity that benefited children.
We may be more inclined to gamble or invest our money in speculative
investments during this time (obviously if you have the funds, that is great….if
you don’t, then certainly use caution!).
It depends where Venus/Leo falls within your chart in order to know how
this will affect you on a personal level.
Venus will be in this playful sign until October 3rd when
it will transitions into perfectionist Virgo.
In the afternoon,
Venus in Leo will form a slightly annoying semisquare to Jupiter in Gemini (exact
at 1:47pm EST). Remember,
this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a
Moon transit. We will feel like
being social around this time. However,
we may make a small social faux pas, like wearing the wrong attire or calling
the boss’s husband the wrong name. Avoid
impulse buys around this time; it will cost you! The same goes for speculative ventures. You may have grandiose ideas about the
direction of a love relationship.
(Friday 9/7/12)- After a very long void-of-course Moon cycle, the Moon will transition
into the communicative sign of Gemini (exact at 12:10am EST). Good Gemini Moon activities are:
communication (including talking, emailing, faxing, writing, etc), working with
your hands, interaction with others (especially siblings and teachers),
learning something new, diversified interests, mental agility, inquisitiveness,
travel, and reading. Things to avoid
are: fickleness, information overload, starting too many things & not being
able to finish them, hyper activity, talking too much, and indecisiveness. These are all themes that will last the next
2 ½ days. Then, Mercury in Virgo forms a slightly uncomfortable
semisquare with Saturn in Libra (exact at 12:45am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects
will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This will not be a good
time for travel as there could be delays or obstacles with both. It is possible
to experience solidarity. Stick with the facts if you need to communicate.
Don’t try to tackle too many things around this transit. A slow and steady
approach is called for. Focus on one thing at a time, otherwise there is a good
chance mistakes will be made or it will need to be done over anyway. Next, the Sun in Virgo forming an
uncomfortable square with Jupiter in Gemini (exact at 6:15am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit
and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Even though this is a square (& would
normally be a trying event), it will be occurring between two benevolent
planets. Therefore, this may end up
putting us in a good mood! Try to avoid
compulsive shopping or big ticket purchases.
It is possible to over-promise or to be overly confident (bravado). There may be a conflict between friends or
with a group of people. Travel, higher
learning/education, religion/spirituality, law, horses, publishing, and
advertising may be highlighted.
In the evening, Venus
in Leo forms an annoying quincunx with Neptune (R) in Pisces (exact at 4:52pm
EST). Remember, this is a
planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Looking for the truth? Try another time. It is usually hard to swim through the murky
waters that Neptune creates. Idealism,
love, & escapism all rolled up into one big rose-colored package! It will be hard to take off our blinders
around this transit, so wait until another day before serious declarations of
love or before signing on the dotted line!
Creativity, music, art, films, etc. will be favored. Dreams tonight may be prophetic or sentimental.
(Saturday 9/8/12)- In the early morning hours, the Moon will
highlight the Mercury/Jupiter square that will occur later in the day. Then, the Sun in Virgo will form an
uncomfortable square with the Moon in Gemini (exact at 9:15am EST). We may experience some tension between
friends or loved ones. This won’t be
conducive to feeling very supported.
Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles.
In the evening, Mercury in Virgo forms an uncomfortable square with
Jupiter in Gemini (exact at 8:13pm EST).
Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt
much longer than a Moon transit. Too
much information (TMI)! This is a time
where we could find others (or even ourselves) saying too much. Gossip may be at an all-time high. If you ever had interests in other cultures,
religions, law, marketing, publishing, and/or travel; it would be a great time
to explore these subjects. Use caution
with overconfidence and avoid embellishment of the facts. We may encounter a know-it-all today. Sometimes people get rigid or opinionated
about their beliefs around this transit.
The upside is that we could be feeling fairly optimistic and will have a
bright mental outlook.
Mark your calendars! Next week: On
Saturday there will be a New Moon in the sign of Virgo (9/15).
The above
transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within
your chart that they would fall. As
always, I am available for a professional intuitive astrological reading.
I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line,
etc). I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype. Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can
just supply a chart. Please feel free to
contact me for more information! Have a great week! Bye for now……
