Coming up! There will be NO Retrograde planets between 1/30/13-2/17/13!!! That means 100% forward movement of all the planets.  This will be the only time in 2013and is a great time for manifestation!!

(Sunday 1/13/13)-  Overnight, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Mars both in Aquarius (exact at 3:37am EST).  As with most Mars transits, I usually will recommend some form of physical exercise (yes, that includes gardening, working on the car, housework, etc.).  This can increase physical vitality & health (and passion too).  It is important to properly channel the excess energy; otherwise arguments and nitpicking could result.  This will also be the beginning VERY LONG of a 26+ hour void-of-course cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into humanitarian-oriented Aquarius later this morning.  When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”.  It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays.

The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the void-of-course Aquarian Moon….

(Monday 1/14/13)- Today will be a complex Astrological day. Much of the planetary energies will be occurring very early involving primarily Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. Relationships will be highlighted this week.  With Venus’ involvement the emphasis will be on love but is not limited to romantic relationships. It's really any close personal relationship. It will be important to discuss our feelings with our partner and to not let things blow out of proportion.

Overnight, Mercury in Capricorn will form a slightly uncomfortable semisquare with Chiron “Wounded Healer” in Pisces (exact at 1:33am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  Past memories may come flooding in around this time.  Reminiscing? Forgiveness (or the need to forgive) often accompanies this transit.  This can increase sensitivity, so please choose your words carefully.  Then, Mercury in Capricorn forms a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Jupiter (R) in Gemini (exact at 3:01am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  Too much information (TMI)!  This is a time where we could find others (or even ourselves) saying too much.  If you ever had interests in other cultures, religions, law, marketing, publishing, and/or travel; it would be a great time to explore these subjects.  Use caution with overconfidence and avoid embellishment of the facts.  The upside is that we could be feeling fairly optimistic and will have a bright mental outlook.  The Moon will (finally) transition into dreamy Pisces after a very long void-of-course Lunar cycle (exact at 11:55am EST).   Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work.  Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr.  These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days.  Next, Venus in Capricorn will form a positive sextile with Chiron (“The Wounded Healer”) in Pisces (exact at 7:10am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.   This helps to heal old relationship wounds.  This will be beneficial for artistic endeavors (especially if you have strayed from doing them for a while).  Then, the Moon makes its monthly conjunction with Neptune both in Pisces (exact at 8:20am EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar.  This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc.  It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit.  Because idealism & escapism can be enhanced with this transit, I wouldn’t make a big decisions or sign contracts around this time.  If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams.  Finally, Venus in Capricorn will form an annoying quincunx with Jupiter (R) in Gemini (exact at 8:36am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  We may feel like being social around this time, but there might be something getting in the way of joining the group.  It’s possible that we may make a small social faux pas, like wearing the wrong attire or calling the boss’s wife the wrong name.  Avoid impulse buys around this time; it will cost you!  You may have grandiose ideas about the direction of a love relationship.  This would not be a beneficial time for trying to get a loan (especially for education) or legal matters.

That was a lot of Astrological activity before 8:30am! Keep in mind that planetary transits last longer than Moon are transits. Later in the day, the Moon will go on to highlight some of these transits that took place earlier, reinforcing the astrological energy….

(Tuesday 1/15/13)-  I will be doing Astrological Readings at Spirit Dancer today between 3:00-6:00pm (I take my last reading at 5:30pm).  This is a great opportunity to get an introductory reading from me at a discount-$30 ½ hr.  They are located at 125 S. Winooski Ave in Burlington, VT (across from the fire station).  Walk-ins are welcome or you can call me for a time.  The store’s number is 802-660-8060.

Today will be an Astrologically lighter day than yesterday. This is a good time to remind you that the energy from planetary transits don't necessarily dissipate right away. We may still be feeling the effects from yesterday's transits.

Just after midnight,, the Moon in Pisces will make a flowing trine to Saturn in Scorpio (exact at 12:01am EST).  This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined.  This is also beneficial for starting a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking).  Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to assist!  Then, Jupiter (R) in Gemini forms an uncomfortable square with Chiron (the “Wounded Healer”) in Pisces (exact at 1:11am EST).  Spirituality, intuition, foreign travel/cultures, healing arts (especially alternative), and dream work, are all areas that will be highlighted today.  Mentors, guides, and teachers can come into our lives now, although we could receive a lesson in an uncomfortable way.  This transit could “trigger” international interest and especially past wounds that need to be healed.  The remainder of the day will be under the influence of the sensitive Pisces Moon….

(Wednesday 1/16/13)- This may be the best Astrological day this week. Venus will form a conjunction with Pluto bringing romantic intense feelings right up close and personal. This conjunction will be tempered with three beneficial sextiles involving the Moon. Enjoy!!

Overnight, the Moon in Pisces will form a positive sextile to Mercury in Capricorn (exact at 1:54am EST).  This will make us want to reach out to friends and family to chat.  This transit helps with the flow of communication.  It will be easier to express how we feel around this transit.  Then, the Moon in Pisces will positively sextile the Sun in Capricorn (exact at 4:32am EST).  This is an ideal time to be with friends & loved ones.  This transit is conducive for feeling supported.  Maybe it’s time to do something nice for your sweetheart?  This will be the start of a long void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into pioneering Aries later this morning.  The Moon transitions into pioneering Aries (exact at 11:07am EST).  Aries Moons are similar to New Moons.  It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action.  Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days.  Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches.

In the evening, Venus will conjunct powerful Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 8:29pm EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  This is power in love, pure and simple.  Sensitivity may be high, as emotions will be felt more strongly.  We may be more open to probing our darker side and are willing to embrace our subconscious.  If the energies are harnessed properly, there could be true transformation in the area(s) of love/finances.  Actually things could get fairly steamy & passionate.  However, Pluto is still prone to having a dark side.  Avoid: obsessing (or being too intense), using subversive tactics, jealousies, hidden fears, and manipulation. Just after, the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Uranus both in Aries (exact at 8:38pm EST).  The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling.  This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events.  Due to Aries’ influence it can also assist with a pioneering spirit and breaking out of your rut.  Finally, the Moon in Aries makes a positive sextile with Jupiter (R) in Gemini (exact at 11:28pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky.  This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people.  It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.

(Thursday 1/17/13)-  Today will involve another Venus transit when the Venus/Pluto conjunction will form a positive sextile with "Task-Master" Saturn. This could be quite a powerful transit if harnessed in a careful, long-term goal planning sort of way. Creatively handle obstacles. Go ahead and create that business plan; now is the time!!  The Aries Moon loves the challenge and starting new projects!

We will start the Astrological day when the Moon forms difficult squares with the Venus/Pluto conjunction that occurred yesterday. The Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 5:38am EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path.  Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin.  It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours.  Just after, the Moon in Aries will square Venus in Capricorn (exact at 6:37am EST).  Although we will have a drive to be with others around this time, it would be best to avoid heavy conversations pertaining to love.  Sometimes the object of our affections is just out of reach (or otherwise detained) around this transit.  The is not a good time to go shopping or work on beautification because what we think looks good now may seem like a bad idea at a later time.  Then, the Moon in Aries will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn in Scorpio (exact at 7:02am EST).  It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized.  It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time.  Luckily, this influence will be short.  Next, Venus in Capricorn positively sextiles Saturn in Scorpio (exact at 11:02am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  Discipline and organization are required.  This transit will be permeated by seriousness.  This probably won’t be a time of busy social activities.  The invites that you do get, will most likely be from your oldest and dearest friends.  Any delays that are experienced will be for the better (but you might not feel that way at the time).  This is an auspicious time for finances, business endeavors, strategizing, etc.  This may be a good time to sit down with your partner to discuss long-term goals.  If you are single and meet someone during this transit, the new romance may have promise of being long-term.  This will also be a beneficial day to: start a new beauty regimen, connect with nature, cook, and/or do work around the house!

Later in the day, the Moon in Aries will form a positive sextile with Mars in Aquarius (exact at 9:27pm EST).  As with all Mars transits, I recommend doing something physical or exercising around this time (the energy will need a constructive outlet).  Sexuality can be enhanced around this transit.  Our feelings will be in alignment with how we act.  Make sure to put your actions toward positive pursuits!

(Friday 1/18/13)-  Overnight, the Sun will conjunct Mercury both in Capricorn (exact at 3:56am EST).  Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit.  (Sometimes this is referred to as a “New Mercury”.)  Finally some clarity!  If you have felt like you were in a fog for most of the week, this transit will help.  This will greatly assist in getting both communication & travel plans worked out. It will be easier to assimilate information.  Writing, emailing, faxing….go for it!  This may be a time of social activities and invitations to parties/events.  Take advantage of harnessing this time of mental clarity and use it to your advantage!  This will be helpful in improving relationships with siblings, teachers, or with someone younger than yourself.  With Capricorn’s influence also take this time to concentrate on business, goal setting, planning, organizing, strategizing, and tradition.

Later in the day, the Sun in Capricorn will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Aries (exact at 6:45pm EST).  We may experience some tension between friends or loved ones.  This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported.  Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles.  Then, the Moon in Aries forms an uncomfortable square with Mercury in Capricorn (exact at 7:40pm EST) possibly causing miscommunications.  You may find that you are not able to express yourself as easily or someone may cut you off from saying something.  This will be the start of a 1-hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into Taurus (exact at 8:36pm EST).  Positive Taurus Moon activities are: focusing on organizing your finances, clipping coupons, decorating, designing, sensuality, cooking & eating luscious foods, organizing your home, massage, singing, and comfort.  Try to avoid: laziness, relaxing too much, stubbornness, obstinacy and being too stuck in your ways.  These will be the lunar themes over the next 2 days.  Lastly, the Moon in Taurus forming a positive sextile to Neptune in Pisces (exact at 11:49pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar.  This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc.  It is possible to be more charming around this transit.  Anyone have rose-colored glasses?  If you are sleeping while this event occurs, it may be possible to have prophetic or “visitation” dreams around this time.

(Saturday 1/19/13)-  Mercury (the planet that rules over intellect, communication, and transportation) moves into the sign of Aquarius (exact at 2:25am EST).  Words and phrases to describe Aquarius are: “I Know!”, Fixed/Air, independent, unique, eccentric, inventive, futuristic, friendship, aloof, cold, political, and humanitarian.  Its physical association is the ankles, shins & circulatory conditions.  Its metal is Uranium and Stones are: Amethyst, Garnet, Moss Agate, and Opal.  We are moving out of a time period where our language and thoughts were serious and a little sober (Capricorn) and now are moving into a time where there will be more progressive thoughts and dialogue (Aquarius).  This will be a favorable time for social events, friendships, politics, innovative ideas, inventions, finding new ways to do things, energy work, holistic medicine, new Age ideologies, Astrology (yay!) and group events.  We will be more focused on the betterment of mankind and helping others on a large scale level.  Since Mercury rules over thought and intellect, this would be a great time to write or discuss these ideas for these may be the seeds of change.  There is a down-side however; Aquarius has an aloof and somewhat chilly side on an individual level.  This is a very mental (Air) sign and sometimes emotions are just too messy.  Things will begin to take on a more personal/emotional quality after the planets shift into Pisces.  It depends where Mercury/Aquarius falls within your own natal birth chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. Mercury will enter Pisces on 2/5/13.

In the afternoon, the Moon in Taurus will form a flowing trine to Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 4:30pm EST).  This will greatly assist us in processing our emotions and is beneficial for all types of counseling & cathartic experiences.  It will be hard to be superficial around this time.  Both Taurus & Capricorn are earth signs, so this is a good time for gardening or connecting with nature.
Happy Birthday Aquarians!  The Sun transitions into the unique sign of Aquarius (exact at 4:52pm EST).  Now joining Mars and Mercury in Aquarius, the Sun will have us concentrating on humanity and humanitarian efforts over the next month ahead.  We will be moving away from austerity and formality (Capricorn) and into a time of invention, eccentricity, and uniqueness (Aquarius).  Aquarians are often associated with being (at least to some degree) advanced thinkers, inventors, and often have cutting edge ideas.  I often site one famous Aquarian that seems to almost perfectly fit the archetype…and that is Oprah Winfrey.  You see, they are often into helping the masses and coming up with new ideas on how to help others (like with her famous “Ah Ha!” moments).  But there is a small glitch…they tend to be sometimes cool and aloof on a personal level.  They are usually very loyal friends, but getting one on one time may be tough.  Their romantic partners often say that they hear of all the great things that they do for other people, but sometimes they feel neglected by the “Water-Bearer” because they are out trying to save the world.  Like Oprah’s “Favorite Things”, over the next month we may be more drawn to technology, gadgets, or simply finding new ways to (for instance) to run a business.  Actually the Moon is in this sign of America’s birth chart (using 7/4/1776 at 5:10pm), and Barack Obama’s Rising sign are both in the sign of Aquarius.  Emotions of Americans over the next month may come into play, and we will be more focused on humanitarian efforts.  Some famous Aquarians are: Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Thomas Edison, Sarah McLachlan, Jane Fonda, John Belushy, Garth Brooks, Matt Dillion, Heather Graham, Bob Marley, Natalie Cole,  Mia Farrow, Lisa Marie Presley, Peter Gabriel, Gregory Hines, Charles M. Schwab, Chris Farley, Christie Brinkley, Fredrico Fellini, Christian Dior, Lord Byron, Edouard Manet, Tom Selleck, Alice Cooper, Virginia Woolf, Wolfgang Mozart, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Chris Rock, Jennifer Aniston, Rene Russo, Charles Lindbergh, Farrah Fawcett, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Charles Dickens, and John Travolta. It depends where the Sun/Aquarius falls within your own natal birth chart in order to know how this will affect you on a personal level. The Sun will be under the influence of this interesting sign until it transitions into intuitive Pisces on February 18th.  Lastly, the Moon in Taurus will have its monthly opposition with Saturn in Scorpio (exact at 6:05pm EST).  Luckily the duration of this event is short and the height may occur while we are sleeping.  Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation.  We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve.  It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility.

Mark your calendars! Next Saturday (1/26) there will be a Full Moon in the sign of proud Leo!!

The above transits are often felt collectively but you would need to know where within your chart that they would fall.  As always, I am available for a professional astrological reading.  I have a variety of charts to choose from (relationship, life path, time-line, child star, etc).  I can do readings in-person, over the phone, or via Skype.  Or if you’re not into having a reading, I can just supply a chart.  Please feel free to contact me for more information!  Have a great week!  Bye for now……
