I hope this Blog entry finds you well! Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday will be mostly astrologically quiet days. On Wednesday, Mercury transitions into the passionate sign of Scorpio, while it also forms a positive sextile to Scorpio’s native “ruler” Pluto. Also, on Wednesday Venus begins forming positive trines with our super triple conjunction (Jupiter on 10/28, Chiron on 10/31, & Neptune on 11/2). Watch out for tempers on Thursday when the Sun form a caustic square with Mars. The biggest astrological event this month, will be when Saturn shifts into Libra on Thursday. On Friday, Chiron turns Direct; time to let the healing begin! Speaking of healing, Venus will positive trine Chiron on Saturday. Enjoy your week!
I wanted to add a footnote to my entries. I include the time that a transit will be exact so that you can see when it waxes and then when it starts to wane. However, the effects are often felt sometimes even as long as a day or two. The energy is usually felt more strongly during the time leading up to the height and then it slowly starts to dissipate after. Keep in mind that Moon transits tend to last a shorter period of time than planetary transits.
(Sunday 10/25/09)- Today should be a mild day with just a few Lunar transits. There may be some tension felt later in the day. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. We start overnight with the Moon in Capricorn forming a positive sextile with Uranus (R) in Pisces (exact at 1:27am EST) helping us to break out of our rut and even do something that may be somewhat unconventional. Technology (like computers), inventing, New Aged ideologies, and friendships are favored around this transit. This could cause disturbed dreams (possibly inspirational or vivid dreams) and/or sleep. Then, the Moon in Capricorn forms an uncomfortable square with Mercury in Libra (exact at 4:37am EST) possibly causing miscommunications. You may find that you are not able to express yourself as easily or someone may cut you off from saying something.
In the afternoon, the Moon in Capricorn will make a flowing trine to Saturn in Virgo (exact at 2:14pm EST). This is a great time for organization, house cleaning, filing, recycling, and being disciplined. Also a good time to start a diet or health regimen (like quitting smoking). Sometimes others will ask for help around this transit, but it won’t be burdensome, we will be happy to help! This will start a short void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon will transition into innovative Aquarius. When the Moon makes no major planetary aspects to another planet, before it switches into the next sign, is call “void of course”. It is best to not do anything new during these times because it has a decreased chance of working or will have delays. The Moon will transition into unique Aquarius (exact at 3:08pm EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Aquarius are: social endeavors, friendship, technology, humanitarian efforts, politics, inventing, and New Age ideologies. Things to avoid: are getting too caught up in the greater good and masses that you forget the individual & their feelings, and being overly fixed in your own unique way of doing things that you can’t consider someone else’s good ideas. Lastly, the Sun in Scorpio will form an uncomfortable square with the Moon in Aquarius (exact at 8:42pm EST). This transit can bring some troubles. We may experience some tension between friends or loved ones. This won’t be conducive to feeling very supported. Sometimes this transit brings (minor) squabbles.
(Monday 10/26/09)- Another mild day astrologically speaking. People who know me well, will often hear me saying that sometimes boring is good! There are no major fires to put out and things are status quo….I like that! The time of tension may have been later in the day yesterday into early morning today. Just after midnight, the Moon in Aquarius will form its monthly opposition to Mars in Leo (exact at 12:30am EST). Someone could irritate you during this transit. It’s possible to enjoy a debate with someone (or at worst, an argument). As with all Mars transits, I recommend exercise or doing something physical. Mar’s energy will want to get out one way or another; it might as well be constructive!
The remainder of the day will be under the lovely influence of this mild transit; the Moon in Aquarius forms a flowing trine with Venus in Libra (exact at 9:46pm EST). You could find your thoughts with friends or loved ones. It is possible to receive a compliment on how you look. Love, beauty, art, creativity, and aesthetics will be favored (and because of this reason, shopping too). Pamper yourself!

Ok, this day is pretty cool astrologically speaking. The only major transits that will occur is when the Moon will conjunct our super triple conjunction (Jupiter, Chiron, & Neptune) all in the sign of Aquarius! This is very powerful and will be a highly beneficial time to focus on manifesting abundance, spirituality, intuition, and healing. We start overnight when the Moon will form its monthly conjunction with Jupiter both in Aquarius (exact at 2:40am EST) assisting us in feeling optimistic and upbeat. This is an ideal time to work with groups of people. It also highlights/benefits: travel (especially long distance), other cultures, higher education, law, horses, and spirituality. Later in the morning the Moon forms its monthly conjunction with Chiron (R) both in Aquarius (exact at 10:11am EST). You may be presented with an opportunity to heal or to be healed. Holistic and alternative medicine is especially favored. Serendipitous moments abound!
Later in the afternoon the Moon makes its monthly conjunction with Neptune (R) both in Aquarius (exact at 3:10pm EST) causing our imagination/creativity to soar. This transit is also beneficial for daydreaming, idealism, intuition, romance, music, poetry, abstract ideas, mysticism, etc. It is possible to be more charming (or to meet charming people) around this transit. Because idealism & escapism can be enhanced with this transit, I wouldn’t make a big decisions or sign contracts around this time.

(Wednesday 10/28/09)- We have a very active astrological day ahead of us. There will be a total of 7 transits and 2 planetary transitions. Only two out of the seven transits will be challenging. There may be lots of activity and opportunities presented….will you be ready to act on them? It starts overnight, when the Moon in Aquarius makes a flowing trine to Mercury in Libra (exact at 3:22am EST). This transit will assist us to express how we feel. It will be much easier to speak with friends and loved ones during this time. We may have an urge to be social around this transit and is highly beneficial for all kinds of relationships. This will start a short void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces. Just after, the Moon in Aquarius will form an annoying quincunx with Saturn in Virgo (exact at 3:27am EST). It may be hard to complete everything on our “list” or to get organized. It’s also possible that our emotions could make it hard to work around this time. Luckily, this influence will be short… The Moon transitions into dreamy Pisces (exact at 3:45am EST). Activities that are favored during Moon in Pisces: creativity, intuition, spiritual aspirations, higher consciousness, connection with feelings, counseling, music, art, photography, nature and especially being near water, and charitable work. Things to avoid are: getting so caught up in others feeling that you put your aside, excessive escapism, and acting like a martyr. These are all themes that will last the next 2 ½ days.
Mercury transitions into the secretive sign of Scorpio (exact at 6:08am EST). Words and phrases to describe Scorpio are: “I Desire”, Fixed/Water, deep, prodding, sexual, secretive, solitary, inquisitive, moody, loyal, spiritual, occult, death/rebirth (Phoenix Rising), mystery, and detective. It is associated with the reproductive organs, bladder, rectum, genitals, bowels, obsessions, and allergies. Metals are iron & steel. Stones: Topaz, Opal, Coral, Obsidian, and Topaz. Now both Mercury and the Sun will be occupying this intense sign. (See my description of the Sun in Scorpio on Oct 23rd’s Blog entry). Mercury rules over the intellect, mental processes, learning, travel and communication. It is not a surprise that Halloween falls during a time when Mercury is occupying this sign. We become fascinated with mystery, murder, the occult, death and the after death during this time. Rocky Horror Picture Show and horror films become favorite pastimes as well as dressing up like our favorite ghouls and zombies. This theme is continued, not just in America, but in other parts of the world with the celebration of the Day of the Dead (on Nov 1st) and All Saints Day/All Soul’s Day (on Nov 2nd). As the days get shorter, it will be possible to look under the surface and detect subtleties of a situation. Our detective skills will be heightened. Of course, this will be useful especially if you need to perform any kind of research. Now is a good time to revise or create a will, trust fund, or life insurance policy. I have to mention passion & sexuality when I am talking about Scorpio…this is also a good time to whisper sweet nothings in your lover’s ear. Use your words to arouse! Unfortunately, this could also be a time of increased obsessive thinking, jealousies, suspicion, hidden fears, and vengeance too. Mercury will transition into the adventurous sign of Sagittarius on Nov 15th!
Then, the Moon in Pisces will form a positive sextile with Pluto Capricorn (exact at 6:11am) helping us to connect with what is going on under the surface. If you are awake during this time it would be beneficial for: cathartic experiences, deep conversations, and all forms of counseling are favored during this transit. It may be possible to have intense dreams while you are sleeping. This was a lot of planetary activity while we were trying to sleep. So take note, are you a Moon-sensitive person? If so, you may have had trouble sleeping.
In the afternoon, the Sun in Scorpio will form a beautiful trine to the Moon in Pisces (exact at 2:37pm EST). This is beneficial for all kinds of relationships (especially with children) and assists in making us feel loved and supported. This is also an ideal time to be close to pets or nature. Your intuition could be high around this time. Very pleasant indeed! Next, the Moon in Pisces makes an annoying quincunx to Mars in Leo (exact at 3:15pm EST). Did you ever meet someone that says something that is completely different than how they actually act? For instance: you went out on a date, the person says that they had a fantastic time, and then they never called you? This type of disconnect (coming from yourself or coming from others) may be more pronounced around this time.
Later in the evening, we will experience two very pleasant planetary transits! Venus in Libra
will form a beautiful trine with Jupiter in Aquarius (exact at 10:02pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. This is one of the most beneficial transits; make sure you utilize its energy! This will be beneficial for group gatherings and social events. If I were a betting woman (which I am), this would be a good time to buy a lottery ticket. (Sorry, but I am not responsible for any losses nor am I condoning gambling-LOL). In fact, speculative ventures & real estate investments are favored. Venus transits also encourage us to: get outside & be close to nature, beauty, and the arts. This is luck/opportunity with both love and finances! Enjoy! Then, Mercury in Scorpio will form a positive sextile with Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 11:53pm EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. If you have to give a speech or a sales pitch to someone right now…well you couldn’t have picked a better time! Communication skills will be persuasive & powerful. Hot topics right now will be sexuality, transformation, psychology, secrets, finances (esp. wills, trust funds, life ins, etc), death, mortality, and fears. If you are able to face these subjects with openness and honesty; then real healing could occur. It would be a good time to whisper sweet-nothings into your partner’s ear. Use words to arouse passion (the good kind!). Pluto does have a dark side, so watch for obsessive thinking and jealousies.

Then, between 7-9pm, they will be hosting their monthly Sixth Sensory World Meeting. These meetings are based on the teachings of Sonia Choquette. This month Jeannie Lynch will be giving a mini Tarot card lesson “The Fool’s Journey”. As usual, there is no fee and bring a comfy cushion to sit on.
Overnight, the Sun in Scorpio will form an uncomfortable square with Mars in Leo (exact at 3:56am EST). Remember, all of these are planetary transits and their effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Unfortunately, this may set the tone for the day (at least the beginning part). So make sure you are well prepared because delays could block our path. It seems the more we assert ourselves and the harder we try, the more resistance will be felt. The best advise I can give around this transit is, leave your ego at home! There could be a lot of aggressive attitudes, competitiveness, ego-centric behavior, arguments, temper tantrums, and quick judgments around this time. There may also be an increase in accidents (please be careful while driving & allow extra time to get to your destination). The lessons learned will be fortuitous in the long run. We may have a lot of extra energy, so make sure it is channeled properly (like with exercise).
The biggest astrological event this month will be when the stern planet Saturn changes into the diplomatic sign of Libra (exact at 1:09pm EST). Saturn changes signs approximately every two and a half years and takes close to 30 years to go through all twelve. Saturn was in this sign in the years 1921-23, 1950-53 and 1980-82. If you were born during these years, then this will be especially potent for you, it is called your “Saturn Return“. Saturn is one of the great teachers and the lessons we learn from it are permanent in nature. It is the ruler of obstacles, delays, long-term goal setting, hard work, Karma, and life lessons. Words and phrases to describe Libra are: “I Balance!”, Cardinal/Air, fairness, beauty (did I say Beauty?), partnership, aesthetics, harmony, indecision, dependence, fickle, and gracious. Libras make great judges because they are often able to see both sides. Its physical associations are the kidneys, lumbar area of the back, buttocks and adrenal glands. Its metal is Copper. Stones: Quartz, Marble, Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, Opal, and Rose Quartz. Over the next 2 ½ years, a lot of our lessons will revolve around relationships and partnerships. Now is the time to examine; are we selfish, do we really know the true meaning of being a partner, do our relationships satisfy our needs, etc. I feel that this will be a time where people will want to have more permanence to their relationships….so marriage and civil unions will be back in style! We may also be seeing more states legalizing gay marriage. This will be good if you are an event planner, florist, DJ, caterer, etc. There may be resurgence in reconciliations and the use of counselors, arbitrators & mediators will be increased also. Speaking of the justice system (btw, the Tarot card association for Libra is Justice), I feel that there may some sweeping changes to laws under this influence. Our democratic system may come under scrutiny during this time. Actually, the USA (if you use the birth date of July 1776) is going to be going through it’s Saturn Return during this Saturn phase. For Americans, whatever is not working during this time will leave our lives. Whatever is meant to stay will go through some sort of process (usually in the form of a test) and come out stronger than it was before. Remember the key word for Libra is BALANCE, and many of us will be tested on that level. If your life is out of balance and has been for a while, this may come to a breaking point during this time. If you don’t find a way to resolve this in a positive, constructive manner, than Saturn will provide the way (and it most likely won’t be the way you desired)….so it is best to address this issue ASAP! Saturn will occupy the sign of Libra from October 29, 2009 to April 7, 2010. It will go Retrograde and re-enter Virgo on April 7, 2010 (where we will have one last chance to re-visit the lessons the we have been enduring for the previous 2 ½ yrs one last time). Saturn then turns direct near the end of May, 2010, and returns to Libra on July 21, 2010.
Later in the day, the Moon in Pisces will form an annoying quincunx with Venus in Libra (exact at 4:05pm EST) possibly causing a monkey wrench in the love department. It could be that the object of our affections is somewhat inaccessible around time…. unfortunately the same could be true with our finances too! Double-check your bank account before making a big purchase.
(Friday 10/30/09)- There won’t be any planetary transits today, only Moon transits. Keep in mind that Lunar transits are shorter in duration than planetary transits. The Moon will highlight the Saturn/Uranus opposition (See Blog entry from 9/15/09). It will start overnight, with the Moon forming its monthly conjunction with Uranus (R) both in Pisces (exact at 12:56am EST). The Uranus connection can bring us unexpected inspiration/ideas & can enhance clairvoyance & channeling. This can highlight technology, electricity, inventing, and unexpected events. Due to Pisces’ influence it can also assist healing and healing arts. If you are sleeping during this time, it may cause disruption in sleep or vivid dreams. This will start a 1 hour void-of-course Moon cycle that will last until the Moon transitions into pioneering Aries… The Moon will transition into Aries (exact at 1:56am EST). Aries Moons are similar to New Moons. It is considered to be a favorable time to start new projects, physical activities (like sports or working out), dynamism, leadership, competition, and action. Things to avoid are being too bossy, arrogant, and insensitive during the next 2 1/2 days. Aries rules the head, so pay attention to stress; especially of you are prone to tension headaches.
In the afternoon, the Moon in Aries will have its monthly opposition with Saturn in Libra (exact at 2:09pm EST). Luckily the duration of this event is short. Sometimes this can give us a feeling of loneliness or isolation. We may feel passed over or possibly not getting the recognition that we deserve. It’s possible that our feelings may get in the way of responsibility. Then, the Moon in Aries will square intense Pluto in Capricorn (exact at 4:20pm EST) possibly throwing a speed bump in our path. Someone could know how to push our buttons and really get under our skin. It is important to have good boundaries with others and remember not to overstep yours. Next, the Moon in Aries will form an annoying quincunx to Mercury in Scorpio (exact at 10:17pm EST) possibly causing blocks in communication. It may be nearly impossible to express ourselves. You ever had a time that you couldn’t put your thoughts into words? Lastly, the planetoid, Chiron in Aquarius will be turning Direct (exact at 10:50pm EST) which has been Retrograde since May 30th! Chiron is often call “the Wounded Healer”. In astrology, it is associated with healing, medicine, the mind/body/spirit connection, teaching, reoccurring problems in our life, and music. There will be forward movement in relations to those matters.
(Saturday 10/31/09)- HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Overnight, the Moon in Aries will form a flowing trine with Mars in Leo (exact at 2:50am EST). Too bad this is happening when we should be sleeping! Our actions will be in harmony with how we feel. We may crave action around this time or have more energy. People will be inclined to fight for what they believe is right. Then, the Moon in Aries will form an annoying quincunx with the Sun in Scorpio (exact at 5:01am EST). It may be hard to feel supported around this time. Accomplishments may go unrecognized. It is possible to clash with someone younger than yourself (like a parent child relationship). Just after, the Sun in Scorpio will form a slightly uncomfortable sesquisquare with Uranus (R) in Pisces (exact at 5:46am EST). Remember, this is a planetary transit and its effects will be felt much longer than a Moon transit. Early in the day, we may receive some unexpected news. It may be difficult to act on this new information. There may also be small glitches with technology or travel. It’s possible that we may just be restless around this time. Emotions are just under the surface.
Then much later, Venus in Libra will form a positive sextile with Chiron (The Wounded Healer) in Aquarius (exact at 7:49pm EST) helping to heal old relationship wounds. This will be beneficial for artistic endeavors (especially if you have strayed from doing them for a while). Lastly, the Moon in Aries makes a positive sextile with Jupiter in Aquarius (exact at 10:46pm EST) helping us to feel optimistic and/or lucky. This is an ideal time to be with friends or to work with a group of people. It is also beneficial for spirituality/religion, higher or continuing education, horses, law/legal matters, advertising, sales, and publishing.
